Queen Anne Luxury 100% Down Pillow - European White Goose Down - Cruelty Free Hotel Pillows - Made in USA (Standard Soft)

I purchased this for my husband,whose beloved down "poobie" finally died a lumpy death. My research revealed this Queen Anne Pillow would be a good value. He says, after several nights, that it's a "poobie-in-training." Still a little bit too poofy (i.e., not soft) enough. We both think it will squish down soon to his preference. I took off one star because the cover fabric felt a little rough to me, although I can remedy that with the zippered cover I will purchase. I like very, very high quality organic, untreated cotton. However, I may purchase one of these as my own second pillow to replace a synthetic-fill one I use to prop my head when I read in bed. My down pillow is for actual sleeping. By the time my "sleeping" pillow wears out, this one would be just perfectly soft. I haven't washed this new one yet; I wash all down pillows at least once a year, and dry in several cycles of a low heat dryer with clean tennis balls. There are no dry cleaners in my city which clean or launder pillows. I know this cuts down on the life of the pillow, which is one other reason I wanted a good value. UPDATE MAY 5, 2017. This is a follow-up to my original review. I have added one more star, because this pillow only took a week or so to soften up. It's just great for my husband and exactly to his preference for a very soft down pillow. The cover is no big deal when I use soft organic cotton pillowcases. I definitely plan to purchase another one of these for myself very soon.Second Update:// I have just purchased this same pillow for myself. My spouse is still in love with the pillow. I find myself sneaking it when he stays up late reading. I now will have two down pillows and consider myself very fortunate indeed. This is a really good value pillow.

This is a high-quality nice down pillow, but it has too much filling for me. I like to be able to manipulate my pillow, but it’s not possible with this one. It’s OK for laying on my back when I’m watching TV and such but not for sleeping on my side.

The pillow is beautifully packaged and made very well. The down is squishy, but not "soft" as advertised in the "soft" choice. I ordered it because it is supposed to be extra soft and good for people with neck problems. I had to return it because there was too much fill and it never softened up enough for my neck. I contacted the company to be certain I had received the "Soft" version of the pillow. The white label has a faint stamp on the reverse side which read "soft". If you just want a beautiful down pillow and do not have specific neck problems, this might be the pillow for you. The company was very helpful. I wasn't happy I had to pay to return it.

My husband is very picky about pillows. He's had his old pillows for over 12 years and the feathers are flying out. I have bought a few different pillows over the years but he goes back to his old ones. I took a chance on this goose down pillow and finally found one my husband likes. He says it is soft but not too soft, no feathers poking through or crunching. He likes this pillow because he is comfortable sleeping on his side, back or stomach. Even though it is pricey, we recommend it.

Expected pillow to be plush, soft & one head sinks into for comfort. It is overstuffed & hard as a rock. I experience pain in neck & side/back of head. So painful can hardly lift head off pillow. Trying to replace older Queen Anne pillow. Guess it’s no longer made. Can not get customer service to contact me. Will keep looking.

Great quality but the softest model is still too thick for me and is giving me neck pain. I wish I hadn't bought it :(

I am super picky about my pillows. I had a 100% down pillow for years and years and it had gotten yellow and and was just absolutely time to replace it. I decided to stray from down and try other options and I regret doing so because I wasted a lot of money on multiple pillows over the last few months not to mention I'm still trying to get my neck to stop hurting from all the bad nights of sleep. I finally splurged on this (the soft level) and it is just like my original pillow only new and smells good and is still actually white. I never thought I would spend this money on a single pillow, but I'm glad I did. It's very luxurious feeling and I am happy with it. I should add that I like pretty soft pillows that are on the flatter side that I can scrunch up and fold over and do all those things with it.

A great pillow, with these exceptions (which vendor promised would be corrected in description): not 100% down. Tag says 80% and the feathers poked thru. I contacted vendor and they sent me the pillow covers which help. They also said they would correct the description which they haven't. And I do detect a smell. Not overwhelming but noticeable. Other than these faults I consider this soft standard pillow the most comfortable pillow I have ever slept on.
