Just as advertised. Nicely made. All edges are smooth and finished. Works great.

Fantastic adapter with a wide base
Unlike many other adapters for 3/8" to 1/4 20 this has a wide padded base and not just a post. the post style does not work with the horizontal bars sold on here because the thumb screw on that bar needs a wide base to create that stable mountain surface. a post adapter just wobbles around and is totally unstable. If they made a male 3/8" to male 1/4 20 also this would be a big help for the horizontal bar mounting to the tripod. but I made it work. Fantastic quality on this adapter though perfect.

Very well made
I needed a 3/8-16 to 1/4-20 adapter to mount an antenna on a tripod. This adapter was only one that had a wide base to handle the side load stresses. Very well made and great value.

Looks good but doesn't hold up to weight.
I purchased 2 separate times and both broke at the 1/4" head at the base. First application was for a light that is about 2 pounds. It ended up breaking off when trying to screw into the bottom of a light too snugly, it easily snapped. Second application was to hold mini tripod legs under a 360 cam with extender stick. It lasted a bit longer but it broke when the camera was shoved in a box and something fell on it and it couldn't take the weight. My fault for not being more careful, however it is not a sturdy product. It looks good, but it doesn't hold up in strength as others have pointed out. If your application is for something that needs to be durable, I would consider other options, otherwise as a light duty adapter it is okay.

Works great
Seems to be well made. I wa.ted to mount a laser level to a photo tripod. After removing the tilt pan head I was left with a 3/8 screw rather than a 1/4 20. This did the trick. Now the level is nice and rigid. All for 5 bucks.

Good fit but a little large
It fits and does the job. It's a little thick, but I bought it to mount a telescope on a tripod. For this use the thinkness and the bulk were good.
