Seren the Sausage Dog Fairy: Puppy Care Fairies Book 3 (Rainbow Magic)

These books really appeal to our near 6 year old daughter and she is keen to read them to us. The whole series follow a simple sequence with a problem linked to Jack Frost and a happy ending. They are rather formulaic once you have read a few of them but generally have a message about being kind and looking out for each other.My daughter is just finishing year 1 in the UK and can read these books with a little guidance. Overall this book and others in the series constitute a good starting point when venturing into chapter books for the first time.

Fun tale with a sprinkling of magic and lots of animals. What's not to like?

I read the Rainbow Magic series to my 9 year old son and we love going on all the different adventures with Rachel, Kirsty and in this case Seren the Sausage Dog Fairy . These books are not just for girls!! They are filled with laughter, friendship and lots of fairy fun. It is always interesting to see how Rachel, Kirsty and the fairies spoil Jack Frosts evil plans. It is always fun to see what the wicked goblins get up to although I do feel sorry for them on time. My son especially loves the series that include animals and this one has been one of his favourite. We are already planning on getting the rest in this series (Puppy Care) Frenchie the Bulldog Fairy and Pandora the Poodle Fairy. These books can be read as standalone as they always mention what has been done so far in the series but I personally prefer to read them in order when possible. Would highly recommend to all children who love magic, fairies and/or animals. Excellent value for money
