5-Port Ethernet PoE Switch (4 PoE Ports, 1 Uplink) with Extend Function, Easy Smart Managed Ethernet Switch, Plug & Play, Fanless Metal Design, VLAN, Qos,Desktop/Wall Mount

I purchased this switch about half a year ago and it has been running strong outside in non ideal conditions: inside a power cord box under a small tarp. It has been running 3 Poe cameras and has no issues until yesterday. The cameras suddenly powered off and wouldn’t turn on. After disassembling the switch, there were 2 slugs inside. One was dried by one of the ethernet ports shorting some pins, but was luckily the only one with nothing plugged in. After lifting up the power supply I discovered a wet slug and a big burn mark on the protective plastic. Lesson learned. Great switch but if you need one for your cameras that will be outdoors, just buy an outdoor Poe switch.

It is doing what it should, I only needed it to plug in extra ethernet devices. I wish it had more 1Gbps ports as it only had 2 but I currently don't need it yet. I have a pc plugged into it and some cameras. It does have PoE and you can adjust it in the app to enable or disable that option for each device plugged in. Port mirror, VLAN, DHCP snooping. You can see the info live on each port in the app. It was easy to install, just plug it into the wall and the internet uplink and you're set. There is a switch for CLOUD if you want to be able to control it somewhere else. Speed seems good as well.

Use it to connect working cameras at home.

Works but I’ve lost 1 to nearby lightning strike. It did survive a nearby lightning strike that took out a router in the past but apparently not all lightning is equal and disregard the lightning protection.

We needed to move a couple of PoE VoIP phones. The Goalake 5 port hub was extremely easy to set up. The phones worked perfectly as soon as they were plugged into the switch. I also like the fact that the ports are able to be configured for devices that do not require PoE.

This 5-port PoE switch worked exactly as expected for powering multiple devices over Ethernet. Setup was quick and straightforward, and it recognized connected devices immediately. The four PoE ports provide plenty of flexibility for cameras or other network equipment, and the uplink port makes integration into the network easy. The extend function is a helpful feature when running longer cable distances. The switch runs quietly and feels solidly built. Overall, it’s a dependable and easy-to-use PoE switch that works well for small network or security camera setups.

Have not opened yet. Have not used the item. There was no reason to leave this product in my paper box in the hot sun when I have a covered front porch and a concrete circle driveway 😡!
