Feet sit solidly on counter. The adjustable blade and auxiliary julienne cutters rotate easily into place, requiring no swapping in and out of extra attachments. Relatively easy to disassemble for cleaning, though the fitting of the cylinder is a little fussy to get back in place correctly. It stores flat and compactly. The safety gloves are a nice addition, though they don't take the place of exercising extreme caution if you are inexperienced with mandolins. Although solidly constructed, it doesn't quite match the quality of my fully professional French unit (which I almost never use because of the difficulties of set-up and re-storage in its suitcase-like storage box.) At very thin settings there is an obvious mis-alignment of the planes of the blade and the sliding platform, giving slices that have a wedge profile in their thicknesses. With thicker slices this difference becomes irrelevant. Nice unit overall.

I'm no expert on these but it looks well designed, quality construction and works well. Makes variable thickness slices and two sizes of julienne. The food holder also seems well-designed. The gloves are ridiculously small and thus worthless for most people.

I could slice cucumbers like nothing! paper thin or thick bites. Literally they could be waved around like paper!!! Going to make some bakes zucchini bites crispy and enjoy. Be careful, the blade is so so sharp that it slices soooo easily and you can cut things a lot faster than you think. Definitely recommend wearing the gloves or using the provided grabber they have as i sliced a part of my finger right off!

Works really great for doing what it's supposed to do. Will cut through glove provided accidentally. Keep first aid kit handy. Still use it almost every day. REALLY SHARP

WARNING BLADE IS SHARP!!!There is a knob that you turn to pick how thick you want it to cut. This knob is not real clear on where to set it for the thickness that you want. I set the knob to one setting and wanted to see how thick it was cutting. I was only going to slice a few times on my potato (was making homemade potato chips) to see how thick it was cutting. I didn't use the gloves nor the food holder that comes with this device and cut my finger off.PLEASE USE PROPER SAFETY EQUIPMENT BEFORE SLICING, I sliced my finger off and had to rush the hospital. I am afraid to use this device again and will be throwing it away.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:You have no idea how many Mandoline slicers I have gone through! Some of them just weren't precise enough, some of them had such a small surface that the vegetables didn't fit, some of them trashed my veggies, and some of them were just insanely difficult to clean. That's my only concern with this one. But it's dishwasher safe so that's helpful. It slices fabulously! The onions and tomatoes came out perfectly. I've been comparing everything to my old pampered chef slicer, which I still miss. But this is a close second because everything is all in one and you don't even have to take the blades out, which is good for me because I tend to be a bit accident from. My only complaint is that the instructions are almost nil. They really tell you nothing. Good thing I already know how to use one of these. I was hoping for more precise instructions on cleaning, but what I got was something very brief. I will figure it out. Other than that, this is a great product.
