This was my third purchase of a reacher and I plan to purchase another one for two rooms permanently. The other brands I returned immediately.This reacher is a great product. I am in a wheelchair and I have been using this product everyday all day for everything. It is sturdy and very useful for doing everything from picking up lint off the floor to using it for small can goods off the shelf. I am raising my four year old granddaughter and I must say that it is great for laundry and also helps me to help her straighten her bed for her. Pick up my little ponies and those elusive hair barrettes. LOLThe plus for me is I have arthritis in my hands and the handle is comfortable and doesn't cause pressure pain as several do.The price is great and it came four days earlier than expected.If you really are in need of a great reacher I suggest if you are going to buy one, go ahead and purchase two. You won't be dissapointed.

I bought this to pick up trash with, and it is good for picking up disgusting tissues and such. I guess it could hold heavier items if used for what they made this for., Household helping. But as I pick up the trash in my area this thing is good for that too. It's cheap in some regards, but after all a high grade one costs 30.00! So for the price you can't go wrong!. this can be folded up for storage as well.

I have used a more expensive brand, but thought I'd try this one for comparison. It seems to be built basically the same, except that the aluminum stick part is a little lighter weight.....which actually makes it easier for me to use. The other thing is that the little cups at the ends are a little stiffer than the more expensive brands. This might make a difference in picking some things up, but so far I can get ahold of almost everything I want to. For the price, I'm going to order several more, because they are indispensable for us in every room of the house. With an injured back, and unable to bend, this makes it easy to pick up the things I drop, and do the myriad of other little things I could do before.

could not survive without these. -- I originally got one to help when I had a hip replacement -- I eventually put one in almost every room in the house. Great for unloading the washer and dryer as well as picking up even the smallest item from the floor, or reaching for an item on a high shelf. Can grab a shirt on a hanger out of a closet. It is sturdy and can pick up a fair weight if you are careful. The rubber grips are so good that I even was able to pick up a needle off a tile floor.

I am short and often climb on a chair to reach upper shelves. I have used this to get items off high shelves and found it to be much easier than my old method. I recently saw a neighbor use her Reacher for putting the lights on the upper part of her Christmas tree and will definitely try that next year!

This gripper feels stiff compared to the one it replaces. You have to insist, to get it to take hold of what you are picking up. I gave it the benefit of the doubt because durability is important, and its stiff response may indicate sturdy construction. Time will tell. If you are unsure, I recommend looking for a reacher exactly like one you are used to.

Very good gripper, but use two hands when using. Tried it already on a bunch of glassware in the kitchen. The suction cups on the ends hold very well. Construction-wise, it's very solid. However, the length, and the combined weight of the item picked up, is an issue as many elderly people who buy this will need to, stating again, use both hands when using this reacher.

Available in several lengths, the grip is very positive, especially picking up open news papers on the floor ( dog owners will know what I mean); and versatile for removing items from below counter cabinets, as well as high up. Can't be shy about grabbing, but work well. As with other reachers, requires getting used to using.
