It’s used for cars to help water sheet off of them. And it worked great for the lenses. **Q: I am a pool technician and need glasses like this. How will the lenses hold up against the chemicals in the pool water?** A: I’m not exactly sure about what chemicals in the specific pool water you work in, but I’ve swam in the ocean, brackish water and Vegas pool parties. These glasses are by far my favorite. I was actually down In Costa Rica, jet skiing, and a wave knocked them off. I found them floating in the crashing waves and they were still great! Not a scratch on them or any water spots after. Of course I had to clean them with a dry rag (shirt) but all was good. **Q: Do they fog up...surfing in No. CA** A: Not sure about surfing exactly, but like any pair of glasses, they do fog up with a face mask on. I have never had them fog up while jet skiing or boating. I have tried on dozens of high dollar sunglasses looking for a replacement and nothing has matched the comfort of the old sunglasses I lost. I decided to order these since they float to use when I am on the lake. I like the design and look of the sunglasses and most importantly, they are the most comfortable sunglasses I have found since I lost my old pair. I initially had only planned to use these for water related activities but may make them my go-to pair. From a quality standpoint, they are pretty good but the materials do not feel as high quality as big name high end glasses such as Costa, Electric, Oakley, Maui Jim, Ray Ban, etc. The main area that could be improved is the lens which works well and is definitely polarized but does feel a little flimsy/cheap when I rub/clean them.
