Well made with a natural dynamic sound, not bright and with good natural bass extension - no bass bloat.Only used for low impedance headphones but switchable for driving higher more difficult to drive headphones. The headphone output is only 6.4 mm so you will need an adaptor for 3.5mm headphone jacks.Useful switchable inputs allowing you to switch between two sources , one is a 3.5mm input and the other a pair of RCA's. There is also an RCA out pair that is driven by the volume control for connecting to powered speakers/power amps. I can recommend the JDS Labs 'OL Switcher' if you need a cheap but quality way of switching two sources between the headphone amp and your normal hifi system, just a shame the two units don't share the same cases/footprint.
