Il casco è robusto (per lo scopo per cui è nato, cioè proteggere dal sole: non è un elmetto antiproiettile né anti-infortunistico) e ben realizzato. Ho avuto l'occasione di osservare un casco coloniale ("pith helmet") originale degli anni Trenta e la differenza è sorprendentemente minima. Raccomandato.

This is the real deal. I did not open it up under the lining but it feels like it is actually made of pith. It certainly looks authentic to me right down to a brass nut holding the top vent button on. This hat is not much more in cost than mesh look alikes but is much higher quality. I wish the chin strap was a little more robust but it works like the original. The hat arrived from England, appears made in Vietnam by a German compsny. This hat is not a toy but a real hat perfect for the hot sun.

I bought this as a sun and camping hat and it has really impressed me. I took it on a punishing multi day hike and it held up perfectly. Its venting kept me cool in the sun and it kept my head dry through multi hour rain. Its rigid structure allowed me to put. my head down and plow through the brush. Aside from some mud and plant stains it still looks new and is in fine shape. I would unhesitatingly recommend this not just for people looking for a replica but for a genuine expedition hat.
