Arrington Small Glass Fireplace Doors AR-1020

This was fairly simple to install. No drilling required!! The inside top was a little frustrating but that's mainly since I have never installed one before and it was difficult to squeeze inside to look at the inside top and awkward for me to see and work. Also wear a face mask! I didn't think I needed one with the small strips of insulation but my lungs were irritated after. I did wear safety glasses which I recommend as well. Overall great looking piece! I did something to the left glass door it won't close properly but it did coming out of the box so have to do a little tweaking. I watched the youtube installation video several times which was essential for me!

Seems to be well made and I think it actually looks better than the picture on Amazon. Very pleased with this purchase and the easy installation. Most of the work was cleaning out the fireplace and removing the old doors, then cutting them up so my garbage guys would take it. We wanted the bifold doors so they wouldn't stick out when we had a fire going. We also wanted the hinged screen doors as we've always had trouble opening and closing the pull type chain link screens on our old model. The powder coat finish is really nice. The packaging was great, no damage at all. Really quick delivery by Amazon, less than 2 days. Just a word of caution to make sure you get the right size unit. Mine fit perfect, nearly exactly the same as the one I removed. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. 5 stars for sure.

QUALITY Better quality than I expected. The antique brass is not brass. It's painted .... looks like powder coat enamel. Not what I expected but the color works OK. This is the reason 4 stars instead of 5. EASE OF INSTALLATION I installed on a 30 yr old prefab wood burning fireplace so had to rig it. Works great. The instructions that came with are fine. I think a novice could do it with a 2nd set of hands available. Hardware included seems to be sturdy and all the parts fit as intended. If you are as coordinated as me (not very) you'll do yourself a favor taking off the wire mesh doors to give yourself more room to crawl around inside the spider hole that is your fireplace. They have a little pin on the top. Pliers and pull the pin, push the doors straight up and the bottom will pop out, then you can remove the doors. The instructions do not mention this. Reinstall reverse the process. Mine were a bugger to put back in. Took considerable wiggling - the ridge that holds the pin on top kept getting caught up on the edge of the hole. Also, if you are rigging this... learn from my mistake... be sure to get your top angle brackets at down far enough from the top or you'll be saying a few mean words with your head inside the fireplace trying to get your hands up in the space to screw things in. SIZING All Pleasant Hearth doors come with a 2" riser bar that is optional and not installed. The height listed for each size INCLUDES the riser bar. Small size is listed as 30" high x 37.5" wide. It's actually 28" high and you can add the riser bar if needed. Also, on the depth. Remember the descriptions include the HANDLES. This door is 1" deep plus .75" for the handles. This model includes a half inch lip on each side and 2" on the bottom -- for those of you who will need to rig it.

This item replaced a much older all gold/brass colored unit which no longer fit the vibe and was not functional. This unit immediately elevated the fireplace aesthetic and is attractive, understated and sleekly streamlined. There were so many choices, I’m so glad I chose this unit. It is exactly what I needed from a functional and decor standpoint. The install was smooth, all parts were included and the doors and screens work flawlessly.

The product arrived on time and in good condition. I was able to install the fireplace doors by myself in about an hour and they look great in the living room.

It arrived in great shape and installed quickly. I like the solid door screens (as opposed to chains). Just beware that you can't have a fire with the glass doors closed. My doors are mounted up off the floor of the hearth and this installs and holds solidly.

Arrived today, installed just now. The doors were preinstalled, but one side will not close correctly, the doors appear to be installed too close together, resulting in the one side unable to close. The door hinges are tiny pop rivets with no rigidity, they just flop around, probably why the doors are “sagging” at the top and unable to close. This also causes them to strike each other and ajar one or the other when opening and closing…NO adjustment can be made. They magnet strength is right at the razors edge of doing nothing while the inner mesh doors are ridiculously strong, so strong that I believe you could easily bend a screen door is not careful of its virtual decorative construction. This is almost a cosmetic piece. Reaching out to the company tomorrow and see what they say, just the same, this is not a quality piece.

Package arrived. Box was in good shape. All the contents of the fireplace glass was intact. Installation as super easy and this was exactly what we needed. Fit and finish are great.

Amazing quality, Delivery was to Amazon's quality = quick and on time as expected. Door installed exactly as shown in the instructions. Quality is beautiful the hinges and glass quality are perfectly finished, installation instructions clear hardware package complete. All in all this door feels and look like an expensive custom glass door at more than half the price. I highly recommend it.
