Great looking, but needs lots of care during installation
Bought this as a tap for a stand alone bath. Arrived quickly and is packaged well and comes complete with the adapters you need to attach it to 1/2" pex or copper. Unfortunately there are then 4 threaded connections required. I had read about leaking issues with these and so used "sharkbite" no solder connections on both the hot and cold lines, these allowed me to re-make or tighten the connections once installed which was just as well! I had to re-do one connection 3 times. No big leaks, but a small weep. Had to use at least 3 times more teflon tape than normal, but finally no leaks after several hours under pressure. Otherwise easy to install and works great! Just remember to use lots of tape on those threaded connections. I also installed local turn offs which was handy for all the re-dos.

Modern fosset with a high-end look.
A touch of class is just what I was going for when I ordered this sleek modern fosset. The hot/cold handle rotates freely while a steady stream pours from the fosset. This modern design gives my bathroom the high-end look that I so desperately desired.

Too bad. I liked how it looked.
There are so many problems with this item, but they don't mean much compared to the big one: the item leaks. A lot. Not just the first one, the replacement I tried too.If you still try to go for it, here's some things to know that I learned from trying galvanized steel, then copper fittings, multiple trips to the plumbing store and hours and hours of tinkering, with and without the adapter, with and without plumber's tape, and many many pressure tests (I even tried epoxy on the threads)...If you're in the US, you most likely will need the supplied adapter. G1 sockets are not tapered like US NPT connections, so there is minimal contact if you try to combine them.Yes you do need tape or sealer on both ends of the adapter. That's not anywhere in their literature and it took me two tries and four days to get that definitively answered. Youtube was no help.An "O" ring won't help. The hole the water flows through from the socket to the mixer is offset right up against the thread, so the ring would block the water.Because the "hot" connection is on the bottom and the cold is very nearby but on the side, your plumbing is going to have to come in from two directions meaning you'll be using some elbows, especially if you doing a remodel. Galvanized steel, with all those probable threaded elbows is impractical to get all lined up inside the wall. Copper at least, you can connect to the mixer, then sweat the copper to copper connections in the right configuration. So plan to use copper in most cases. But steel to steel threads conform to each other to make the seal. Potentially the copper or steel to brass would too, though less maybe. But brass to brass, not so much I think, and you have to use the adapter and the adapter is brass. It is the brass to brass where I had problems.Anyway, I checked the adapter with calipers to make sure which end was which. I used tape. I tightened it snug and tested. It leaked. Tighter, and it still leaked. As tight as I could get it-- almost down to the end of the threads, and it still leaked. And that was two different mixers. It is simply not worth the money, hours of work, trips to the plumbing store, and general frustration to continue to try making a bad product work. So I'm giving up. Be prepared.Too bad too; I really like how it looks and I much prefer giving happy reviews.
