Mixed bag
Not sure how to rate the wool. I ordered it to make my own pillow for sleeping and wanted something natural. Is very soft and fluffed easily. However it arrived inside a box with multiple pieces of tap still attached, no bag holding in the wool, and I had to go through all 3 pounds very carefully to pull out about a dozen straight pieces of metal that appear to be staples. I'm going to use it in a pillow, but I'm a bit hesitant to sleep on it not knowing if I found all the staples.

Excellent product for bed pillows
I was a little concerned about ordering this after seeing some reviews, but the bag I received was packed to the brim with wool and no stray or extraneous matter at all. Excellent. I will be converting my bed pillows to this wool fill.

Cuddly clouds of heaven
Makes the softest pillows in the world. When I first laid back on it my entire body melted it was like laying on a big warm cuddly cloud. We waited 2 weeks then bought a second batch.

Quality Uniform Product for the Do-it-yourselfer or for the Artist or Crafter.
Really good quality Wool stuffing. I am really impressed about the uniformity and cleanness of this wool. It's just like their picture with the baby on it. Saying that, this isn't a finished product because it's for people who want to make their own stuffable pillow or whatever. I blame Amazon fulfillment for the nature of the outside box (beat up). You do have an option to ship it in another Amazon box, and I'd do that because it will help some. It doesn't cost more. This is pure New Zealand down Wool (no course hair as in others). It's like getting a duck down pillow without the feathers which make it worse. You only want the undercoat, the down. This product has a uniformity I rarely see in textiles in general. As for junk being mixed in per another reviewer, that is not true in my case. His or her issue might be a case where the box burst open at Amazon and someone just swept it back in.There are scientific studies that say one of the biggest pollutants is micro synthetic fiber along the coasts and rivers. Think about your dryer filter, do you flush it? These micro fibers are really small and their impact on the environment is still being studied but the vast quantity means something. These almost microscopic nylon, polyester and other synthetic plastic fibers are probably not good for us to breath nor for the fish we eat to digest. Most synthetics (99%) have plasticizers mixed in (think BPA (Bisphenol A) in infant bottles or any bottles). There are no standards and reporting for plasticizers until someone gets ill. That's my rant on plastics. FYI: Your pillow is probably a polyester filled one if you don't have a prickly duck down one or lucky enough not to have the sticks still in the feathers.I would recommend the company use a plastic bag (even if plastic...) , but other than that it's a premium product. If you bought 50 pounds of wax for making candles, this is actually packaged better. (I've bought wax).Welcome to the future. The future of Wool. The future of natural fibers. The future of sustainability. The future of Comfort!
