Just what I needed to manipulate and observe foraminifera. Very sturdy. Optics not bad considering the price. Need to refocus when zooming, periphery of field not sharp, but at least half the central field is sharp up to highest power. Since the field is quite wide, this is not very noticeable. Lighting good. I have small interpupilary distance and often cannot use binocular scopes as usually they only go down to 55 mm. This goes to 50 as advertised, making is just barely useable for me, which is unusual.

Excellent. Performs exactly as we hoped it would. I'd thought that the maximum 45x magnification wouldn't be adequate for the plant & insect study we wanted to do, but in fact we seldom have to go that high, and the smooth zoom makes adjusting the view easy—and stereo makes it really exciting.

Incorrect description for this item. It listed cameras that would be compatible but after purchase I see there is no means for any camera to connect to this model. Greatly disappointed in the lack of clear description.
