Item arrived well packaged and on time. Well made and instructions easy to follow and understand. The dash cam comes with two cables, a shorter one for a quick fit and a longer cable if you want to feed it around the door edges etc. Can update the units software thru Garmin's web site. Good value and pleased with my purchase.

Internal battery is poor but a good camera for when driving or on constanlt hookup

I have never, ever, bought a new Garmin product of any type not in branded packaging. Just see the pictures, received in large white box, and items not secured at all. Likely rolled around in transit. This must have been reboxed, and I believe the item wasn't new, possibly a return or refurbished! This was advertised as new it is not! Could it get worse, well yes, upon turning on the Dash cam the language needs setting and that's normal for the first time, but not every time when this is started up. Just to cap it off, the speaker makes a constant hissing sound when the unit is on. I have a good comparison as I use a Dash cam 57 in another car, which came in branded box and has none of the above issues! Item returned!

My choice of Dashcam. Easy to use no apps or phone use or storage just a micro sd card. Drive properly you won’t need but will be handy if needed it over rights but advised to format card occasionally.. Just say ok Garmin save video. Have one fitted front and rear on 12v socket. If you hardwire then inform insurance as a modification .

This is my first dash cam and was easy to install and use. Videos are good quality. Suction is good and camera does not fall or move. I checked many cameras before this and was happy with my decision to buy this one would highly recommend. Only downside is downloading video footage over WiFi takes longer than I expected a 26min took just over half an hour to download. Apart from that very good quality. Camera is small and was able to hide behind rear view mirror.

If you are looking for a cost effective and simple camera to install in your car, then the Garmin 47 is the perfect choice. You may also find that it helps with lowering your insurance. There are many products out there, but the Garmin brand is reliable and has the functionality that you need. The App makes it very easy for you to download and save images and videos, should you need to use it. Great product at a realistic price.

Compact, very well made product with adequate picture quality.

I have ordered new camera and paid for new. Item received was in white box with all items loosely in packet. With no brand box and it seems refurbished or some defective. I did not use it. So this review more concerning the seller as i have requested return as soon as i opened. So camera looks very small also cable seems very short.

Die Dashcam funktioniert super, auch ohne www und doppeltem Boden mit Smartphone. Durch den kleinen Monitor und den Funktionstasten kann das Teil auch ohne Smartphone verwendet werden. Man vermisst keine neueren Modelle ohne Monitor, die nur noch mit der App funktionieren. Sobald man auch bei der DC 47 mit der Garmin-App arbeitet wird es tricky. Mal ist die Bluetooth-Verbindung gestört, mal gibt es kein Netz, die Datenübertragung ist megalangsam. Das positivste an dieser App ist, dass Garmin jedes mal versucht seinen gebührenpflichtigen Cloudspeicher für 10,00 €/Monat zu verkaufen. Bei einer 512 GB Karte braucht das aber kein Mensch, es nervt jedoch ungemein. Ansonsten ist dieses ältere Model DC 47 ein Superteil, mehr braucht kein Mensch. Gruß Werner
