Why (according to the description) does it have to be a gift for women? Can men not use these measuring utensils?

For example one of my customers mentioned in her review that "My husband and I both love them!".I was only referring to the fact that mostly they are bought either by women (based on order history) or for women (based on messaged and reviews I got). We used handle thick 1.5 mm, which is double than the market standard. So it should not bend at all.

do these tarnish? what's the best way to care for them?

Hello,
the copper does not tarnish because it is covered by a protective layer that protects it from tarnishing and damage.
If you wash them in hand (which is very easy to do) and then dry them, they will say in perfect condition.
What you must NOT do is using a dishwasher (the high temperatures and harsh chemicals would destroy the protective layer and then also the copper layer), or keeping them soaked in some chemical water (e.g. in your sink with a detergent).

Are the measuring cups heavy?

No they are not. I have worried a few times about them bending because they are so light weight but in the 7 months I have used them (and they get a lot of use) I have never had any bend.
