Easier than Spring Gauge, More Durable
I've had to toss many many low pressure mountain bike spring gauges in the trash when the mechanism fails for unknown reasons. I have rubber boots on them and keep them in sealed quart bags and they never leave my vehicle or storage. Somehow just using them or transporting them around is too much abuse or they are getting clogged with sealant so I bought a couple of these for testing. I think I'm done with accu gauges. This tool is lighter than a metal spring gauge, works with both shrader and presta, and comes in a nice padded cardboard case that is excellent for storing the tool in a gear bag if you've got the room. Much better than a 'rubber boot' on a spring gauge for protection. I only use them for presta, but it has been great as it measures to tenths of a lb and I think I believe the numbers for accuracy as well. Readings are repeatable and plenty precise for low pressure mountain bike tire adjustments. The digital readout is in my opinion easier to interpret than an analog gauge for a fixed reading. I like the audible sound the tool makes when the pressure has been read so I know when to remove it and look at the screen. Because the head swivels partially and because the screen doesn't need to be visible to take a pressure reading it is not at all awkward to get a reading. I always clear the valve of any potential sealant before using this tool and so far it has not clogged up. The screen illuminates which is also very helpful in low light situations. It is possible to get very precise air pressure by releasing with the tool if you need it but I've learned how many strokes of my pump I need (small pump moves about .1 lb per stroke) to make small adjustments to air pressure close enough for my uses, so I never need to do this or take a second reading and would rather not risk running any more sealant than necessary into the tool. I've only owned them for a few months so no complaints about battery life yet. It is of course helpful that holding down the power will turn the tool off instead of allowing it to turn itself off, but the auto shut off is key.If you are tired of heavy fragile mechanical spring gauges, give this a try and keep the box.

I am very pleased with mine.
This is a good little tire gauge. I bought this to daily test a set of motorcycle wheels using a Tubliss innertube design. My application involves testing one set of innertubes at 110psi and another at 10 to 35 psi, and this unit makes the regular measuring quick and easy. The head fits Schrader on one side and Presta on the other, and the head swivels 180 degrees for ease of use. So far I have only used it with Schrader valves.I found the readings to be consistent and easy to obtain. I believe this Airchecker tool to be an ideal choice for applications where you want a minimal amount of air loss when checking - such as on air shocks and other high pressure, low volume situations. I believe this airchecker allows for less air loss than any of my other units. It provides a secure seal and a minimal amount of air is used and when used correctly none is lost. This unit is also very compact. It emits a quiet BEEP when powered on, and BEEPs again as you use it when the reading is obtained. The display is in either in Bar or PSI, and mine consistently remembers which I last used , so it is always on the PSI setting when I power it on. It is a simple one button press to switch between the two. The display will show the recorded pressure for several seconds after use. I am not sure how long, but it has never switched off before I was ready. The display is back lit so it is easy to read in bright sunlight and also in the dark.I even like the little carrying case which is included.I would recommend this to a friend who wanted a good Airchecker tool. All in all this has been an ideal digital air checker for my applications.

Lightweight & Accurate
The media could not be loaded. This pressure gauge is very compact and lightweight and seems pretty accurate when compared with my other gauges. I do like that it has the rotating head and bleed button. But the live mode bleed feature is a little awkward to use, even with two hands. When it is in live mode, you have to hold the gauge tightly against the valve in order to get a reading and once you take it off the valve it does not continue to display the last pressure measurement. When it's in standard mode it does keep the measurement visible for a few seconds.I also don't like how it loses a little bit of air when you are using the gauge. For example the Slime airlock gauge doesn't lose anything at all.Overall I think it's a good gauge because of the weight and size, plus the quick reading and different function options. However I rated it a generous four out of five stars because I think it's slightly overpriced and I think it could fit on a valve tighter to minimize air loss.
