Got this one to mount on my service frame unit. Essentially a raw open E-ATX "bed" used to burn-in, test, and diagnose PV components, while allowing optimal cooling and value recording.

Serial Ports are rarely used on PCs these days, so it's not surprising that motherboards don't generally use valuable back-panel space for them. For now, most motherboard designs still provide a header for a classic COM port, but this may change in the future as motherboard real-estate becomes more precious. Soon USB or PCIe serial solutions may be the only way to add COM ports. Our ASUS P8Z77V motherboard has such a header, and we already had a a card-slot flange with built-in cable on hand, but the cable wouldn't reach the connector on the motherboard, so using a hex driver we removed the existing DB9 connector and cable, and installed the StarTech 16 inch cable into the D-hole in the flange. This was a good way of getting a serial port on the back of our PC.
