Hi, the shelf life of the test strips is 2 years from the manufacture date. The manufacture date, expiry date and lot number are printed on the bottom of the box. Best, Nathan.

Q: I want to see if my water well is picking up salt discharge from my water softener will this tell me?

It won’t give you any salt measurements, I think you need a refractometer

Q: What is the vile that comes with the test strips for?

Mine did not come with a vile. I believe they are showing that so that you can collect water to place the test strips in. It is not necessary to use a vile. I use a clean old pickle jar.
