Great reading
I think this is certainly a book worth reading. To an Indian, it has a particular appeal as the places and persons are often known. But somehow Travels with a Tangerine made a grater impact, perhaps because I read it before this book, or paradoxically because I had not been to the places in the book.Still I would recommend it to those with historical interests or interests in travel..

Lost it's way
This book has occasional glimmers of the delight of its predecessor, Travels with a Tangerine, but is more meandering, a little indulgent. Sorry, but something of a disappointment.
