Some stories are a bit difficult to go through in terms of writing style and many details but overall it’s pretty easy to read. Very nice representation of Palestine. Review: Un livre indispensable, hélas indisponible en français - La traduction française de ce recueil de nouvelles (pourtant due au grand écrivain marocain Abdellatif Laâbi) n'étant scandaleusement plus disponible, il nous reste fort heureusement cette excellente version anglaise pour découvrir le talent si original de Ghassan Kanafani. "Retour à Haïfa" est certainement l'un de ses chefs-d'oeuvre et les autres textes présents dans ce recueil apportent leur touche tout aussi forte à ces tableaux remplis d'émotion (mais sans auto-apitoiement ni concession facile) de la condition palestinienne depuis 1948. Il est grand temps qu'Actes Sud publie à nouveau ce volume, ainsi que "Des hommes dans le soleil", lui aussi mystérieusement disparu de la circulation!
