LAURA GELLER Baked Balance-n-Brighten Powder Foundation – Light

I'm almost 60/F, some wrinkles and a fair amount of discoloration, red spots, and sun damage, esp. on cheeks. This foundation (baked balance and brighten, color FAIR) is really easy to use. Feels like nothing, even when building. I used only basic, soft, fluffy brushes I had on hand; they worked well for light coverage, but I do think a denser brush option - like a retracting kabuki, as recommended - might work better for building. Very good coverage on bare skin (moisturizar only), pracrically perfect over an inexpensive primer. Almost all my flaws disappeared, even without concealer. Did not settle in wrinkles, either. I FEEL PRET-TY, OH-SO PRET-TY!...or, at least, "not bad for an old broad, not at all!". I do find that using primer is better over large pores and significant discoloration, such as have I. I used a budget brand with spf 30 and the foundation went on perfectly. It's FAST, too. The longest part if the process is waiting for the primer to dry, maybe 1-3 minutes. Found it difficult to shade match - but to be fair: When is it *not* difficult? Would be a very nice thing if Laura Geller Beauty offered an inexpensive "sampler" (say, $5.00 for just enough product for 1/2 face in two adjacent shades) to help in this process. I tried "PORCELAIN" first, but it was just a tad too light. The model wearing "FAIR" looks like an olive tone to me, whereas (I think?) I'm more peachy, like the "LIGHT" model - but I'm super pale...but ... but.. hem ..haw.. Seems really wasteful to open, use once and return a full product to try a color that isn't quite right, as I have. "Samplers" would really help reduce the volume of product returns, not to mention reduce waste and carbon footprints - just sayin'. Step up,😀Laura Geller. I'm a senior and struggle to find products that actually DO make me look a little better. I've been using this powder for months now and I do think it improves the look and texture of me face. I ended up getting two compacts in different shades, one lighter, one a little darker because I wanted a little more "tan" look on my cheeks and less in other places. Each compact has a swirling variety of tones, which is great. The powder is very fine and really does make my face look much better, more evened out, smooth. I also got the Kabuki brush which I really love too - well worth the money. It is angled and high quality. Makes making up much easier!

Love this! I'm at the age where liquid foundation or concealers are not doing me any favors by creeping into my under eye wrinkles and caking. The powder is lightweight and stays on all day with very minimal touch-ups. I now skip the liquid foundation so just using this powder has reduced my "get-ready" time. I used a Kabuki brush at first, but found it messy as the powder went everywhere. I switched to a press powder sponge and it works perfectly. Super happy with this purchase!

Not the best I’ve used but in a pinch this stuff works. Not the best on oily skin though

I'd give this makeup 5 stars if it weren't for the horrible container that it's in. The makeup goes on easily with good coverage and lasts all day. The coverage amount depends on how much you want to use so it's good for light every day and increased nighttime coverage. I really do love the makeup. I've purchased this several times and have yet to have a container that does not break at the hinge. For the amount of money that you are paying for this makeup, you should be able to finish if off without having to carry a rubber band around to hold it shut.

As a woman in her 50's, I was on the seemingly never ending search for a light, full coverage foundation that was easy to apply, set in seconds, and was just as easy to reapply if needed. I wasn't asking for much. Nothing cakey, long lasting, natural looking, feels like velvet, forgot I had applied anything for the weightlessness... You know, that miracle foundation that checked all the boxes. I may have just found it (after how many decades?). This foundation is all that and more. So easy to apply, non drying, and my "routine", such as it is, has been reduced to a couple of minutes; just what I've been wanting. Absolutely gorgeous. I fall into the "I don't want to have to do much" category when I'm applying makeup, and this foundation fits the bill. I don't think I could ask for anything more.

I ordered the shade Fair but it is way too dark - even with the smallest amount it's far too dark to use. Disappointed, was a waste of money.

As a mature woman, I was looking for a foundation that would not settle in lines and would give a smooth and non caked appearance. This fills the bill. It gives light yet full coverage and smooths out the skin. It helps to buy the primer - goes on better and improves the appearance. I have become a loyal user.

Was sooo looking forward to this product after seeing the reviews and also going on their website.. the color to light for my skin tone and the powder makes my skin look very powdery and dry. Don’t like it at all, such an pity cause I thought it’s my foundation problem solved

My wife bought this and she loves it. she has fair skin and the color is perfect and covers what she wants covered. she says it can feel a bit dry when first applied but lasts all day without setteling in to fine lines
