Great product i use this in My packs of gummy candy and it does its job very well.

I use these with my dehydrating herbs.

This product works to keep my pre-packed pills moisture free, but the main problem is that there is no way to tell by simply look at it how saturated the cachet is. I have used other sachets which change colour once it has reached its useful life, so you can tell at a glance whether to discard it or not. But you can't tell with these sachets and this is a major, major drawback. It does, however, do a fantastic job preventing vitamin softgels from sticking together once its new.

Whether dry canning food or tucking away into mylar bags, these silica packets are an absolute must!!! Fun fact: if already soaked up moisture can "reset" them with a quick low temp toast in the oven. I really, really tried to research and find the safest option for food storage. Seems to work great - AS LONG AS YOUR CONTAINER IS A GOOD CONTAINER AND PROPERLY SEALED!!! Once you open this container, the unused silica packets need to be stored with care. We found massive Ball canning jars (glass) work best and then just dry vaccuum a canning lid on them using our Foodsaver attachement. To open simply use the blunt end of a manual can opener. Once pull out # you want, reseal the jar (see above for steps) and keep going. The idea is to be as quick as you possibly can and once in the mylar bag zip if can but then heat seal it asap. Doing a few at a time vs. massive batches or just singles will help limit time/exposure to the packets. FYI: We've come across some duds of mylar bags before finding the perfect ones.
