I got this to tinker around with to see if this would be a good option for some panels we're screwing around with. It'll work for the range of the voltage we run in the plant, so good on that. For the hobbyist at home, this will work with 120VAC for just monitoring the voltage. the undervoltage's lowest setting will be higher than your top voltage you should find in your home. However, if you're running it through a step up, then it'd proabbly be worth your while.

I was hoping I could use this as an in-line surge protector for our cooktop that's on a hard-wired 40A 240V dedicated circuit. Our 240 is over 255 a lot of the time. I wanted to set a limit of 260. For this to work, the device would have to go into an electrical box. It won't fit in one of those.Some things I don't like about this device are, wherever it does fit, the only screws you see are the terminals on the front. Anyone who sticks a screwdriver in there is gonna get lit. The other thing is the instruction sheet is far from the best.
