Elkay ELG13322BK0 Quartz Classic Single Bowl Drop-in Sink, Black

This is a fantastic sink and a huge upgrade over our builder's grade double sink. Our old sink consisted of two smallish bowls that were only about 6.5" deep each. One hooked up to a disposer and the other just a regular drain. This sink is MASSIVE. My wife really wanted a farmhouse sink, but I just was not real comfortable with chopping down the existing base cabinet (which would have required modifying the doors in addition to removing the two handy flip out compartments in the faux drawer area). The sink required me to cut out the 45 degree angle pieces at each corner and I was not able to successfully get to all 8 clips to hold the sink down, but I am hopeful that between the silicone and the clips I did secure (3 in the back and two on the sides) that I will be good to go. I'll keep an eye on it. I will say - the fit is extremely tight in a 36" base cabinet. The opening for the old sink worked fine, but a bigger base cabinet would have made it much easier to get to the side clips in my application. The fronts were basically impossible. The drain hookup for my disposer was challenging. I struggled a bit getting the top flange to mate with the underneath part so I could put the snap ring back on. It was a really tight fit. I wasn't able to tighten the screws from underneath very much. But I didn't need to make any of the drain piping. I simply removed the T connection for the second drain in the old setup and bam, the disposer lined right up. I actually gained some usable space around the pipes in the cabinet (even though I lost some height. All in all very happy with it If you are wondering about the sink texture - it reminds me of a graphite golf shaft material that's not painted. It's not shiny, and you can see the sandy grain to it. It complements my kitchen nicely but if you are looking for something glossy this is NOT it.

At first I purchased a FRANKE DIG61091-GRA, Large, Graphite sink. It was a nice looking sink but when it arrived, there was a crack in both back corners. There are a lot of reviews regarding that sink and cracks. I returned the sink back to Amazon. I purchased this Elkay ELG13322BK0 Quartz Classic Single Bowl Drop-in Sink, Black from Amazon as a replacement. The first sink they sent was not the correct one so had to send it back. The second one was correct and no damage or cracks. This sink is a very nice looking sink. The composite material they used is thick and strong. The single drain hole is offset to the right which makes it easy to get to the drain with items in the sink. There are two small negative comments I have with this sink. The lip of the sink drain opening is tapered so a drain flange does not sit flat on the lip. When you install the drain flange, you need to make sure that the flange is level in the bottom of the sink and not angled. The other negative is the predrilled holes. The center hole is precut to about a 1-1/4" diameter. My center mount faucet needed a hole approximately 1-1/2" in diameter. The lip of the composite in that area is about 3/8" thick, which is good for strength but it is a pain to enlarge the hole past the predrilled size. If you use a jig saw or any other tool to enlarge the hole, make sure that you cover the finished surfaced with a quality masking tape so you don’t mare the visible surface of the lip. I purchased and installed a polished black stainless steel faucet and soap dispenser and I purchased a matte black 'Insinkerator' drain with a ‘Gun metal’ strainer that closely matches the faucet. Even with the negatives, I give this sink 5 stars.

Huge sink. We’ve had it for a few years now and it still looks brand new. If you get a stain or small scratch, just grab a Mr. Clean eraser or some Bar Keepers Friend and give it a gentle scrub. This is a solid material so it will last for years. This is not cheap porcelain coated steal. Great quality. The offset drain is a must. It allows you to fill up a big pot or clean something without the drain being in the way.

I was very skeptical of how well the quality of this sink would be considering the price. The same one at Lowe’s (different brand) was around $450 and we just weren’t willing to pay that. We saw someone else use this sink and decided to give it a try based on their review. I’m not someone who ever leaves reviews but this was just too good not to. The sink is made of great quality materials and we paired this sink with a new faucet and glass rinser too and so glad we did. It took us one night of removing the old sink and then a few hours the following day to complete the install. If you’re on the fence of getting this sink, I would highly recommend it, we can’t say enough great things about it!

I was so excited for this sink. I read some reviews noting that theirs came with cracks or chips and I chalked it up to shipping companies being careless and those situations were not the majority of the reviews. After opening the box, I see that this sink has chips, multiple cracks, and there are obvious attempts to repair previous cracks by filling them and sanding them out. These do not look like accidents caused during shipping. For a couple hundred dollar purchase, I would expect an item to be in perfect working condition.

Who buys sinks off of Amazon instead of going to their local Home Depot/ Lowes/ kitchen store 🙋🏽‍♀️ at first I was very spektical about buying it but I did it and it was the best thing every ! This sink was super easy to install. I love how it’s not flat it has a slit tilt to it so that way the water flows from one side to the drain side. The holes are slightly carved out for you already, what we did to finish punching the holes thru were we used a flat head screw driver and slowly hammered it thru to it punched it out.

I just received this item. I like how it looks and hopefully everything works out BUT it has stains EVERYWHERE! hand stains. Not something you want to see on something you spend hundreds of dollars. Also, it will help if the do a video demonstration on how to properly make these wholes without damaging the sink. There's no tutorial out there for those diyers, trying to do it our selves. Will post an update in a few weeks once I get it installed.

It’s a very nice sink & was simple to install. My husband did it one afternoon. Easy to clean & so far is scratch resistant. I like how matte it is because it matches perfectly with the faucet we purchased.
