Its not like an ordinary lift the flap but more like a fold out and reveal. Very sturdy fold outs and only complaint and it't minor is that the very last page of the book is a popup/open and turn style and those seem like they would come off easy. Cute little character story and great for any child interested in Mickey Mouse and his friends or a little more interactive book (the fold outs).
