Review: Super easy to install and use! - Very easy to install. Super user friendly. Has a nice quality video. The only thing that took maybe 10 minutes to figure it out was sending the invitation to my wife so she can have access to the doorbell app, not just me. Oh, and you if you leave on a main street that has high traffic, you are not ready for the notifications. What I mean by that is that the doorbell sense people really fast and if the it's set up for that, you'll get a notification for every person that passes by your house. I had to set the sensor to the lowest level, and even with that it still so good at detecting people. Also, there's no need to put the SD card into the Chime, just place it into the doorbell and you have the recordings available on your phone through the app. But if you want to you can put one into the Chime, but that means you'll have to buy 2 SD cards. But everyone is different. Anyway, this is one good doorbell and the price range is acceptable compared to others. Regarding the battery, I only lost 1% so far and it has been on for 5 days. So is going to be a while till the battery runs out of juice. And to avoid any headaches, i bought a second battery as a backup when i need to charge the first one. But with the way things are going I don't think is going to happen soon. Also, Night vision, crisp quality, but depends what lighting you have in your area, still it performs very well. Overall, I am glad that I bought this doorbell, now I don't have to worry that I will not hear when someone knocks atthe door.
Review: High quality product for reasonable price and easy to set up - Relatively easy to set up. Only got a little confused when it asks you to connect to Home Hub, which I didn’t have. NOTE Home Hub also refers to your Chime door bell, took me a while to figure that one out as to the reason I wasn’t getting video. (Five stars to customer service for their help too btw, although I figured it out myself in the end they were very pleasant and professional). Love that it also has a Face Capture. When someone is walking past and too quick or hooded to see, the Capture feature gives a clear snapshot of their face. Highly recommend.

**Q: Whats the difference between the doorbell with the chime unit and the doorbell with the homebase ?**
A: If you just want a working bell then they both give similar functionality. Practical issues include 
Chime 
- plugs into a plug socket
-removable microsd card (16G)

Homebase
- stand alone unit  
- Fixed flash memory (16G)
- expandable to link with other Eufy accessories
- Ethernet port

I have two bells and one of each. I have had some trouble with WiFi detection on the chime but never with the Homebase but I have not swapped them around to fully tested this.

**Q: is the chime provided by the unit that has to be attached to a router? And is there a distance limitation from the unit to camera?**
A: The chime needs to connect to the wifi. And it cannot be attached to the router with the ethernet cable. Usually, the chime can be 20-30ft from the doorbell. The actual range will vary depending on a number of factors such as the thickness of walls, obstacles inside the house, and the location of the router.

**Q: Is there any benefit in buying this wireless 2k video doorbell with the home base versus buying it with the chime? Not sure if I need a Homebase?**
A: Don't think you need the home base unless there are a bunch of other eufy products like cameras etc you want to add. If it's just a doorbell the chime is perfect

**Q: does this work with google**
A: Yes, the doorbell works with Google Assistant. But it only supports viewing the live stream.

Very easy to install. Super user friendly. Has a nice quality video. Relatively easy to set up. Only got a little confused when it asks you to connect to Home Hub, which I didn’t have. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good performance with no recurring fees

The product comes very well packed, with everything you may need to mount it on either wood or brick surface. The product USP is that it doesn’t require any costly Cloud Storage for recorded footage ( recurring cost/ privacy). Instead there is a 16GB memory card mounted in the inside Wi-Fi Door Ring module (WDR). Footage recorded is accessible through an app. The supplied ( multilingual) instructions are clear and intuitive. 1. Installation. Installation is in three parts, the WDR, the Doorbell (DB) itself and a Smartphone application which needs to be downloaded and configured with an online user account. Do this first! WDR plugs into any power outlet, in an area with good Wi-Fi connection. WDR connection to existing Wi-Fi network is easy to set up through the Smartphone app. There will likely be a firmware update to download.. Once WDR is configured, add DB to the online account through the app (clear guidance provided through the app). Once again, a firmware update for DB will likely be available and should be installed. Next, fully charge DB through USB. Carefully install DB outside your entrance while maintaining good connection to both WDR and Wi-Fi. Follow positioning guidance given in the manual/app. 2 Performance. 2K video is very good but not excellent. Video enhancement available is WDR only, not HDR. Built in human recognition in DB is a pretty good attempt, but not at all 100% accurate. Personally, I have turned it off and use the setting “ detect all events”, in combination with a carefully set detection zone. Your experience talking to a caller depends on connection/ bandwidth but, in common with similar devices, there will likely be some lagging effect and distortion of sound. 3. Opinion. This device is well put together. Installation is clear. Performance is good. You save recurring fees for cloud storage and preserve privacy. I recommend this product.
