He prefers to sleep on a blanket on the couch. Lately though, as it has started to get colder outside, I have noticed him trying to burrow deep down into the blanket. I decided to try this heated bed so he could have some privacy from the dogs when he wants it, and it would hopefully help keep him warm. The cat bed has been a huge success. He still likes to snuggle up with the dogs at times, but at night, and when the dogs aren't around, I find him sleeping curled up in his heated cat bed. He tends to sleep a lot because of his age, and I would say he spends at least half of his time, if not more, curled up sleeping in this heated bed. It is nice and soft on the inside, and the bottom of the bed gets warm, without getting hot. I feel comfortable letting him sleep inside it for hours, because it does not get so warm that I would worry about it harming him. The design on the outside is pretty, so it looks nice sitting on the couch in our family room. For reference, my cat is 10 lbs, so you can see from the picture there is plenty of room if you have a bigger cat.
