It was yet another rollercoaster season for Chelsea Football Club, who saved the best till last with victory in the Champions League final in Porto. The story of 2020/21 began with an exciting summer and the arrival of six new additions. Alongside blossoming home-grown talent, the Blues hit their stride in autumn and even briefly went top of the table, but a winter wobble led to a change in head coach. Thomas Tuchel joined, quickly solidifying the defence, and securing impressive victories at Tottenham, Atletico Madrid, and Liverpool. As Chelsea kept marching on in the FA Cup and the Champions League, the race for a top-four finish went down to the wire. Success over Leicester in our penultimate league fixture, joyfully played in front of supporters at Stamford Bridge after so long without them, ultimately proved decisive. The same opposition had beaten us in the FA Cup final, but the biggest prize of all awaited in Portugal. There, the Blues inflicted a third defeat on Man City under Tuchel thanks to Kai Havertz's strike. Fantastic review of a champion season
A superb dvd outlining Chelsea’s champions league winning season. Nearly all the matches come with live broadcasting commentary of Sky and BT, and a few cup matches featuring Chelsea TV and BBC commentary. Post-match interviews after nearly every game was a good touch, and for me better and more reflective than post season interviews conducted on some previous DVDs. There is also an extended interview with Thomas Tuchel’s appointment as manager. Overall, a season for Chelsea fans to happily reflect upon, and this DVD is the perfect way for fans to do just that.
