I ordered the purple ebony. The photo shows a beautiful dark wood with dark brown cord, what I got was black ear buds with a black cord. If you hold in in direct bright light you can see a faint hint of what might be wood grain. The right side sounds good. The left side sounds like a tin can. Spend a little more for a better pair.
