A: This will not fit a 1996 the earliest model it fits is a 1999

A: I believe that is the most common one used for that model year

**Q: Will this fit a 2011 gmc canyon sle**
A: No. You need a 15082892 for a 11 canyon

**Q: Will this work on my 2006 Chevy ssr**
A: i modified the old piece and never used the new part. Sorry!
