New Bunker Hill Wireless Surveillance System 62368 4 Channel Security System

Does what is needed, at far limit of distance the sound does not work that well but it is at the limit of the advertised distance.Running for about six months now, no issues. Day to night view switch is seamless.

Love it. Turned it to bird feeders in back and front door surveillance in front.

I like the features - intercom, motion detection, ability to record to an sdhc card, but the video is just not good enough resolution for what I am after.

Picture quality is nice, but does get a lot of false motion detections.

I haven't used it yet, but I did hook it up and the main screen is not working. Not sure if I had it hooked up wrong or if its because it needs a SD card. The day to night vision seems to work properly and you are able to control the cameras thru the receiver. I hope the SD card works or Im gonna be quite upset.

I bought this exact system from a different store. The resolution was so poor I could hardly identify my wife or daughter's faces when they went outside to test the system. There are two resolution settings which appeared to me no difference in quality of picture. It is loaded with features, half, I could not get to work reliably. The screen saver feature didn't work. I uploaded some jpeg photos from my PC to the SD card for use in the screen saver "photo frame" mode and it said the format was wrong; who makes a product like this that it cannot recognize one of the most common photo formats? I went back to the default mode to check if there was something I set up wrong-no improvement. The intercom feature was a dismal failure; when I spoke on the base unit to one of the cameras located near the front door my speech was almost unintelligible and there was an unbearable amount of feed-back. I could not hear the responses from the camera to the base unit. I love a good gadget and I love technology when it works, but this isn't for me.

Don't waste your money. I bought this direct from Harbor Freight (which owns Bunker Hill) but their website is suddenly not accepting reviews, I tried to post a review there to warn potential buyers that this is a piece of crap.First, the picture is NOT that good - daytime (color) is only a decent resolution - unless you position the camera right at face level and close, you won't get any picture useful in identifying people if you *need* it (we're talking security here, remember?). The night vision is grainy black and white, much lower resolution.Second, this is the second one of this same model we've owned, the last one quit after a few months (suddenly just no picture and no ability to record, and, thinking we just had a defective unit, we exchanged it for a new one. Same thing, the display quit working after a few months (and this is not a cheap price!) but we now live too far from any Harbor Freight to make it easy to exchange.Lastly, their 'support' is non-existent (Bunker Hill) and non-responsive. I found numerous unanswered pleas for help from unhappy BH Security customers all over when I searched for troubleshooting advice to try to fix it myself - I followed every piece of advice I could find with no luck (and I'm a tech support person myself).I won't be buying this brand again ever......it's overpriced crap. If you need a security camera system I suggest that you find a local company who sells them and backs up their products with good service.
