I am very impressed with how well this product works! I wish I had discovered it years ago.UPDATE: March 2017I found yet another example of how great Simple Green is. I have a couple coffee carafes that have small openings, hence a human hand can not fit inside to scrub them (unless somebody has really small hands). I've tried many different types of scrubbers, and all the "tips on the internet", such as using salt, ice, baking soda and a myriad of other things. For some reason, I never tried Simple Green until yesterday, at which time I was totally frustrated with the stained interior of the carafes. Last night before bed, I put a couple tablespoons of Simple Green into each carafe, filled with water, and left them on the countertop overnight. This morning, it was like a minor miracle -- when I poured out the water to get ready to scrub them again, it was all brown, and the inside of the carafes looked almost new again (and that was BEFORE any additional scrubbing!). Using a small sponge brush, what little visible residue remained was easily removed. Both carafes now look sparkling-shiny new again on the inside! Thank you, Simple Green!!

For a while now I've just been cleaning my bike chain with a degreaser and a white rag. I finally went out and bought one of those chain cleaners and this jug of simple green. I can't believe I didn't get this stuff a long time ago, cleaning my chain is so much easier now. I just fill the chain cleaner with simple green undiluted up to the line and then crank the pedals for a couple minutes. Then I dump out the dirty concentrate and do it once or twice more with water before re-lubing the chain. Simple green is the perfect liquid for cleaning a bike chain.

I purchased this Commercial Grade of my mostly used household heavy duty cleaner for use in a small bench model solvent tank in the garage. I build a fair amount of custom firearms and need all components to be super clean after working and as a coating pre-clean prep. I was cutting Cosmoline from an old 1966 surplus rifle action by using this at 10 to 1 cleaner to water ratio. Overall, this product removed and cleaned far superior to Brake Clean, Carb Cleaner, Mineral Spirits and Denatured Alcohol. The cleaned components, rinsed in hot water dry extremely well and accept bluing to the prepped metal areas with ease. I also use it for Automotive Projects, as sprayed on inner fender panels and cleaned for paint before installation-Perfect, Again!

During a major repair job on my Sons Jeep, I sent him to pick up parts and a couple gallons of solvent for cleaning the dirty, greasy parts. Since petroleum solvent is no longer available I used this Crystal Simple Green as I would have the solvent.I've used Simple Green in the past, and appreciate the environmental properties of the product, but was doubtful of its comparative ability to clean burnt on oil and grease as well as a petroleum cleaner.I was truly amazed how efficiently and quickly it cleaned everything. I didn't use gloves and my fingers did get a little wrinkled after a few hours cleaning parts, but after rinsing and drying, they were fine.I have since reordered a few gallons of the Crystal Simple Green and refilled some 409 sprayers (and relabeled), placed them under the sinks throughout the house and shop. My wife came to me to compliment how well it cleans everything.It does have a bit of a breath taking affect if used full strength in an enclosed area, but with common sense and moderation, I'm sure even the Earth will appreciate your choice.

Hasn’t worked at all for anything I’ve tried it on. Others have said it can take grease out of clothes. Not for the black grease I tried it on. Others have said it can take tomato stains out of plastic storage containers. Mine are still orange. Didn’t work to degrease my vent hood above my stove, even on the top. Did nothing to grease on my oven glass. I’ve used the lowest recommended dilution rate to have the strongest concentration of cleaner and this product has done NOTHING. Soaked the clothing, oven glass, and containers... zip. Once the weather is warmer I am going to try it on an oil stain on my driveway from last fall. I have low expectations.

Simple Green is one of the most powerful cleaners on the market, it's worked wonders for stubborn dirt, stains and grease that other products just don't work on. It's not a miracle worker but it's very, very close. I usually don't even have to let it soak or sit on anything and yet it allows even a paper towel to wipe the most stubborn of dirt and grime clean.Buying it by the gallon is very economical and I suggest everyone have Simple Green as a staple in their cleaning products pantry. This and 409 are my go-tos for all cleaning needs. If 409 can't get something, this is guaranteed to! Other than that, I primarily use it for cleaning my bicycle frame and components. It's a great degreaser that hasn't harmed any of my bicycles to date!

The thing I like about this cleaner is I dont need to do a rinse cycle with my park chain cleaner. I use 1-3 parts water.I work in a machine shop and we recently switched from a solvent tank to a simple green tank as a parts cleaner. It has a heater that warms the solution. That really activates the cleaner. So use hot water for best results

This stuff did a fine job at de-greasing my bicycle. I mixed it to a medium ratio as listed on the Simple Green website (1:10). This stuff scrubbed on with a hard bristle brush made quick work of bicycle grease and grime. If I had one thing I didn't like about it for this purpose it's that it needs to be rinsed off and then dried. There are specialty de-greasers that require no rinse and evaporate dry but that's usually a small can and costs as much as this 1-gallon jug.Bottom line, if you're not scared of a little secondary and tertiary step after using this stuff get it. It's cheap and it works.
