My go to chocolate sauce
I absolutely love Ghirardelli premium sauce. It has consistently been my go-to for lattes and macchiatos, and after trying quite a few alternatives over time, I always find myself coming right back to this one. The flavor is rich and smooth without tasting artificial or overly sugary. It blends beautifully into espresso drinks and adds that perfect chocolate depth without overpowering the coffee itself. Whether Iโm making a simple mocha latte or adding a drizzle to a macchiato, it just works. Iโve experimented with other brands just to see if I was missing out on something better, but nothing quite matches the balance and consistency of this sauce. Every time I try something new, I end up returning to Ghirardelli. Itโs reliable, tastes great, and consistently delivers that cafe quality result at home.

Excellent American Chocolate
If you like great chocolate, and I mean GREAT chocolate, you probably buy Belgian, Swiss, or Dutch. They are in a league by themselves, DELICIOUS chocolate. This American-made chocolate sauce is just as delicious. I could eat a bowl-full of the stuff. Great to make chocolate shakes or to spread on top of desserts. But it is a LOT of chocolate.

Real Chocolate Flavor one of the best
I am a chocolate junkie. No two ways about it. I have tried all the major brands of chocolate. After sampling them all I have come to the conclusion that Ghirardelli Chocolate Flavored Sauce is the best in all categories. Typically the American palette likes the sweeter, less chocolatey thinner syrups. The bitter heavily roasted cocoa and high sugar with vanilla create a distinct flavor profile with little complexity and a huge chocolate finish. Named after a company in Pennsylvania starting an H, most consider this to be a true chocolate flavor but it is more reminiscent of burnt coffee than chocolate. After trying all of the best sellers, I have come to the conclusion, at just about any price, Ghirardelli is the best. The syrup is very thick, not so sweet with a rich, deep chocolate flavor that while initially seems less chocolatey than lesser syrups that give you everything up front then leave with just a sweet syrupy finish. The subtle deep chocolate flavor of the Ghirardelli builds with complex notes, subtle true dark chocolate flavor with just enough sweetness. The finish is a nice chocolate flavor that is not so sweet that you cannot experience the real flavor of the cocoa. It is not roasted as dark, and therefore not so bitter. The bitterness in my estimation hides the low-quality of chocolate in the cheaper, more commercial generic brands. I use the pump for my product as I have a super-automatic espresso machine and have a daily mocha. I have to admit I use what most would consider an excessive amount of chocolate but I have grown to really love this stuff over all other brands, even the extraordinarily expensive chocolate made by a large coffee company starting with S. While theirs is good, actually quite similar to this, they charge about 6 times as much, not at all worth it and often times the packaged product is old (probably because of the high price). If you are a coffee fanatic like me, get the 87.3-ounce package and the pump. It is a better deal plus the pump meters out about 1 tablespoon per press to help you make consistent drinks or for ice cream. Many have complained that the pump stops working before all the product is used up. I have a simple solution for that. When I have extracted all I can with the pump, I remove the pump. Then simple put the entire bottle in the microwave for about 20 seconds and you can simply pour the remaining 10% of the product out. For me itโs time to reorder another. Cleaning the pump must be done after each bottle to prevent mold or contamination from the air. I can usually get about 2 tablespoons out of it, enough for a small mocha. For me it is like licking the frosting from a bowl after mixing. Go ahead and lick it clean! I take it completely apart, then clean, dry and reassemble for next use. Be careful not to lose any parts of the pump, itโs rather expensive. I recommend taking it apart before you use it so you can see how it comes apart. There is no better chocolate sauce at any price.

Unpumpable, unpourable, but delicious. Here's a solution...
Once it's out of the 87 ounce bottle, this is the best-tasting "chocolate sauce" we've tried. However, it suffers from problems: the bottle is too massive to handle, the sauce is too thick to pour or pump, and at room temperature it's susceptible to mold. Also, it's not 87 fluid ounces - it's the weight! This stuff is thick and heavy, and takes the same volume as about 56 fluid ounces of water. SOLUTION: 1. When the bottle arrived it went right into the fridge. 2. We sterilized (boiling water) four 16oz soft-plastic Snapple bottles. 3. The sauce bottle went into hot water to liquify the contents. Be patient. Read a book. 4. About 14 oz of the chocolate was decanted into each of the sterile plastic bottles! 5. Caps off, we heated the full bottles to beyond 150degF and sealed them and put them into the fridge, upside down. Result: chilled/squeezable lightweight bottles of delicious chocolate sauce, sterile, mold-free, and handy. Yes - a PITA, but we do it about once a year!

Awesome chocolate sauce
Everyone has a preference for chocolate in their coffee and for me itโs Ghirardelli. This is a great chocolate for ice drinks or hot drinks or even topping your ice cream or waffles. We go through at least one bottle a month. I would suggest getting the Ghirardelli pump to go with it as this stuff absolutely will not pour out the way Hershey syrup will. It is that thick..

The Best Chocolate Syrup
This is the best chocolate sauce. I would buy it more often but it's so expensive. For customers who haven't tried this before, I wouldn't bother with the pump. The product is too thick for it to be useful. Stand the bottle upside-down for a few minutes before use, then just squeeze the bottle. When this doesn't work anymore, cut the bottle open and scape the rest into an airtight container. I know this may seem like a lot of work but I feel this syrup is worth it.

Rich, deep chocolate taste.
Good product. Rich chocolate taste. I keep it refrigerated. No issues with storage with refrigeration. Last longer, I find by storing it this way.

Great Chocolate Sauce
Fantastic chocolate sauce. The price fluctuates wildly. If you can get it under $25, it's a great Value.
