Easy installation, good product.
It works like it is supposed to. I use it as an extra cable source anyways for PIP on my projector. The remote works well, but must does not have great range. For the price though it is working well. The software is nothing special and could use some more detailed recording options, but it works with WMC and also comes with Powerdirector so overall it is fine.

It works! Plays and records TV, very easy to set up
We don't own a TV, so I got this to watch local channels, and am pleasantly surprised that this actually works. My main concern was figuring out the software, but turns out the Windows Media Player is completely happy to use it. I'm in SE Portland, and the antenna gets me all the two local channels I really wanted (OPB and Root Sports), plus a bunch of others that are good for morning news and stuff. Overall it was really easy to set up. From out of the box to watching TV it took maybe 10 minutes, most of it reading the instructions to make sure I'm doing everything right. A few things to note: -sometimes the quality of the video is a little choppy. It can be uncomfortable, especially if you're watching fast-moving sports - feels like it's stop motion animation. Thankfully that usually only lasts for a few minutes at a time. The audio is always fine, but the picture pauses for a quick moment, and then speeds up to catch up to real time. -the antenna has a magnetic bottom, which is awesome. I can stick it on my fridge high up, and it gets great reception. -I've experienced mild moodiness with reception. Moving the laptop and/or antenna can cause me to lose reception for a couple seconds. Doesn't happen all the time. Overall, this works for what I wanted, and I'm happy with it. I can finally watch those away Portland Timbers matches that don't get streamed on ESPN or Fox. Although, did I enjoy doing that this particular season? No.

This is the second Kworld TV tuner I've purchased. The first one is running on the same win 7 machine I'm using this one on. I was able to get the drivers for this from window's update. (a year ago the other device required me to go to the website and download the drivers) It comes with software for watching TV, I just opt to use Windows Media Center instead. One weird thing that happened is that WMC wouldn't allow me to use both tuners at the same time which is why I purchased a second tuner. I did the normal TV setup in WMC, and that only let me use one tuner at a time for some reason. I ran the setup a second time and this time manually added the tuners. Both tuners worked simultaneously after that. A third setup detected 2 tuners on its own. Weird bug, made the install take a little longer not an actual issue though.

I highly recommend you create a restore point with Windows before installing this. I installed this and for some reason it delayed my startup by 30 seconds. If I hadn't created a restore point I couldn't have undone what ever the software did. Uninstalling it did nothing to remove this delay to my start up. My laptop runs in 3200x1800. The software refuses to open in that resolution. I have to make several changes to even get it to run. Additionally, you have to have a CD drive to install this software. I tried going to the builders website but that doesn't work anymore. Absolute junk. I wish I could leave zero stars and get my hour and a half back messing with this pile.

Good hardware, terrible software
I live in SF bay area. It gets nearly 40 channels which includes NBC and ABC. But I'm thinking of buying a more powerful antenna for it to see if I can receive the channels more stable. It supports full hd (1080i) picture and Dolby audio and pretty much all possible TV and radio systems. Generally the hardware is fine, but the software that comes with it is terrible. It's driver has a bug. It works ok on 32 bit windows, but causes some problem on 64 bit windows. Although I found a way to fix the bug and I let them know but I don't know if they have fixed it on their website or not. So beware! Also I couldn't get the remote control work. Works fine with Windows Media Center on Windows 7 Pro.
Installation on my Windows 7 Pro desktop was ok. Everything installed that I needed. This is just about the TV and RECORDING capability. I did not test FM Radio or other features at this time. I installed the ArcSoft Total Media 3.5 and experimented with it watching TV and recording some shows. It worked fine. The software reminds me of the interface you get with a cable box. I did have a challenge with the attempt to record several shows in a row using separate schedules. 2 of the 4 recorded fine, of the other two, one had a small file with no images and the other was missing completely from the folder. Total Media did not reveal any errors and I suspect it was some unhandled exception in the software because of conflicting end-begin times or something like that. Do not expect the software to tell you much. I also installed Windows Media Center which instantly liked the TV Tuner. The software required a few settings which seemed to come with ease, the TV picture of live broadcast was excellent after the setup of the channels to antenna was complete. Everything worked as expected and I was able to successfully record several programs. I believe this is a better solution for successful use of the KWorld Hybrid TV Tuner as a DVR for your PC or Laptop. The Windows Media Center creates files with a .wtv extension which the software interface handles perfectly. I can also view .wtv files on my VLC player from VideoLan. A small glitch in the Live TV where sometimes you have to jog >| and |< sometimes to get the image flow started. I gave it 4 stars because it works for me, with flaws, the Windows Media Center is a slick, modern interface and the functionality seems be better than average.

KWorld Hybrid TV Tuner with FM Reception
Wasn't very pleased at all with this tuner. It had a lot of trouble programming TV channels and it locked up many times from just changing channels. Tried it on different computers and operating systems and it worked just as poorly on them.

If it holds up, it's a steal.
Works wonderfully well. It replaced an old tuner of the no-name variety. Media Center does react a little differently to it, though you might have no way of knowing that, and while I'm on the subject, I found out the hard way that you apparently can't hook two tuners of the same variety to Media Center, so if you want to receive cable and over-the-air together, best buy two different brands. Nevertheless, for the money, about what I paid for my old tuner of four years, KWorld is far superior. Just be careful because it sticks out of the computer a bit more than you might like.
