2-Year Review I’ve worn this watch almost every day for nearly two years, and here’s my take: Design & Versatility: The watch face is simple, clean, and elegant. Swapping straps completely changes its look — a metal bracelet makes it dressier and works well with a suit, while a rubber strap is great if you’re active and want something more flexible. I’m not a big fan of the included NATO strap; with daily wear it tends to absorb sweat and eventually develops an odor. Readability & Lume: The dial itself looks great, but if you work nights it can be tough to read without some ambient light. The LumiBrite lume charges well in sunlight, but after a few hours in darkness it fades almost completely, which is something to keep in mind. Date/Day Feature: The day/date function works fine, but the day wheel switches between English and Spanish around midnight. For example, you’ll briefly see the Spanish day name when it transitions from Monday to Tuesday. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it can be a little annoying. Movement & Timekeeping: The movement is enjoyable — you can flip the watch over and see the rotor through the exhibition caseback, which is a nice touch. Over time, though, it drifted about 10 minutes per month for me. That’s within the normal range for this type of Seiko automatic, but still something you notice if you rely on precise timing. I'd recommend this watch. It's a great starter watch, and i personally like mine.

I was extremely hesitant to purchase this watch. I've been on the hunt for the perfect field watch and this got me very close to what I was looking for. The only negative about the watch for me. Is that the lume is just "okay" for my standards. I prefer watches with tritium tubes because I'm a nighttime truck driver and those are just hard to find in this style of watch. But it looks very good and is very comfortable. The 39mm case fits my 7" wrist perfectly. The visibility of the dial is very good. Easy to read at all times besides total darkness. I was really worried that it wouldn't keep time very well being an automatic movement but I am pleasantly surprised it's only 1-2 seconds slow per day. THAT is crazy. The movement has all the features you'd want in a automatic watch. Auto-winding/hand-winding and hacking. It would have been nice to see a sapphire crystal but you are getting a great quality time piece for this price point. I would not hesitate to buy this watch if you are on the fence.

Awesome daily watch. As an automotive technician and watch guy I wanted something that looked great, was automatic, and I wouldn’t be too upset about getting banged up. This checked all of those boxed. After a few months of daily hard wear it shows a single scratch on the crystal (which I can’t put against it) and no issues with the watch itself. Great value for money in my opinion.

This is my daily wear watch. The strap is kinda junky but the watch itself is so satisfyingly good for the price point. I put an olive green elastic band on it so I can slip it on easy. I’ve had several people stop me and compliment the watch which I’ve never had happen before wearing watches worth a lot more than a couple hundred dollars. I think people like the retro styling of the field watch. I do too.

I like the bead-blasted finish. I like the 39.4 mm case size. I like the matte black dial. I like having a day-date function. I like the brightness and duration of the lume. I like the clear back. I like the drilled lugs. I don’t like the chunky 13.2 mm thickness. I don’t like how it takes forever for the day-date to change. I don’t like the Hardlex crystal. Not too long after getting the watch, it suddenly started to run slow. I tried de-magnetizing it myself and keeping it fully-wound, but nothing worked. It’s a shame. I would wear it more often if it were at least slightly faster. I wore it while crawling around on the ground before, and it didn’t seem to develop too many noticeable scratches at least. I definitely prefer the bead-blasted finish for a field watch over brushed and polished steel. The dial has a nice texture, but its black color isn’t as dark as I want, and so some strap colors will overpower the dial when normally almost any strap would look nice with a black dial.

Great watch for a great price. And it says “made in japan” on the dial! 40mm is perfect for this watch. So far very easy to read, brushed finish to stay tougher and works great. Autos will be fast or slow regardless but this watch is simple to adjust.

El SRPG37 tiene un tamaño perfecto... 39mm para mi muñeca de 16cm. El color de la caja es un gris mate y la esfera negra. Al tener una correa de 20mm se hace muy versátil, pues se pueden comprar infinidad de correas de distintos materiales y colores. Un reloj con 10 de calificación para uso diario/informal. De igual manera el vendedor super recomendado.

Relógio seiko 5, com caixa de 39,4mm, tampa traseira transparente e com pulseira nato. O que eu recebi é “made in japan”, o que me deixou muito satisfeito. Este é um modelo básico, confiável e certamente durará muitos anos.
