Hi! There is no way to add pages, but it does start from preschool.

Q: Do the photos have a protective sleeve to slide into, or will they need to be pasted on

They need to be pasted on. The pages themselves are made as a folder to store other items, but the spot where photos go on the pages does require attaching with glue or some other way.

Q: I noticed the ad said #1 New Release, so is this one of the most updated school memory books available?

Yes, i think so. I ordered one 10 years ago for my oldest, and this one is updated.
