Gasoila Soft-Set Pipe Thread Sealant with PTFE Paste, Non Toxic, -100 to 600 Degree F, 1/4 Pint Brush

Hi ; This is an excellent product, expensive but good with exceptions . I used it in a well water system, approximately (40-60 psi range) my fittings were primarily stainless to stainless, but I had a couple of brass fittings also . The Exceptions : Gazoila is a wonderful, soft set product, easy to work with, but you MUST tape first , then apply the Gazoila over the Male taped threads . I used 2 full wraps of good high density tape . A brush ( supplied) makes easy application, and try and stay in the clockwise direction, the same as the tape . The other notable exception, even though soft set , it requires “dry time” . I went on the safe side and gave it a 24 hr set, with no water . This is for potable water , other elements, might be different, I.e. natural gas, propane, etc . One more thing “extremely low shelf life” for the money, no more then 1 yr !!! So check your dates . Highly recommended I’m using it to seal threaded connections in an automotive fuel system I’m building. Used as directed, it works beautifully. Absolutely no leaks so far!

This sealent is very effective on a wide range of gases to liquids but dose not harden. This makes it very easy to undo if it becomes necessary and also if it should require repositioning it dose not require total disassemble in order to have it seal again!

Works exactly as prescribed.

Used yellow tape first and added light amount of this near thread start over yellow tape—for both brass to brass, brass to black iron and black iron to black iron. No leaks at all!
