How many oz do the markings represent?

There is no numbers next to the marker’s But I guess the first one is 12 oz . For me i don’t think i ever used them cz the pouring is fast , that’s why I measure the water i need from the kettle.

Everything is metal no plastics. It has a rubber gasket that seals the removable filter for cleaning. Easy to use and clean. I use it a lot

How do I keep it from draining too fast?

I always use 2 funnel coffee filters. Works perfect then I use a paper towel to wipe out the dripper.
