March 2023 4 years old and still works like the day I got it. It is run every day for at least 2 mins per day. Update; July 2021. This torch has worked perfectly for 2.5 years with daily, regular use. I wouldn't buy any other torch. It honestly works like the day I got it. Original review below: I've owned a lot of torches. This one, I only just got it. So, I have no idea how it will hold up compared to other torches. However, many torches I have bought have only lasted around 3 months. The last one I purchased lasted over a year, though, and still works. I bought this one because it's apparently the best. It'll be a long time until I know if it can last as long as my other one, a Newport torch, also purchased from Amazon if I remember correctly. All that said, this torch uses my butane slower. It seems to be more fuel efficient, the flame is more concentrated, the flame is more powerful and can withstand the wind better. I'm not a big fan of the activation and deactivation method. You turn a knob to open the gas and then strike with a button, closing the knob to turn it off. Because of that design, it feels less safe. Compared to my other torch, which is like most torches(that I've owned), and has a safety, you unlock, press button, and have to hold or lock to keep on. If one of my kids happens to get their hands on this torch, I feel like they'd be more likely to be able to trigger it or do something dangerous than they would with my old torch, and most torches, if not all, torches I've owned before that. Aside from that, I'd say this is the best torch I've ever owned. We'll see how it stands up to daily use for the next year and hopefully, I'll remember to update this review then. Edit-3 months Still works like the day I bought it. Nothing has changed.

this is the 4th torch I've bought in the last 6 months. It's also by far the best. It's definitely worth it to spend a little more on this one than save a few dollars on something that is $20-40 and you'll be replacing in 3-6 months anyway (or the igniter goes out, which is very annoying to use a lighter to light your torch). UPDATE: After owning this torch for over 4 months now, I figured I'd submit a follow up for my review. There is not much to say though- this torch is exactly like the day I bought it; no signs of wear. I use it several times a day, every single day. Another great thing about the torch I've noticed is that it regulates the gas better than any torch I've had, in the sense that it allows you to use every last bit. When the torch is almost empty, while not quite full strength, it still gives you a decent flame until it's completely empty. And as many people suggest to empty the torch before refilling it, you won't waste that last bit of fuel like with other torches, where the flame just slowly goes down to an unusably small flame for the last 10% of the gas. Every other torch I have owned, regardless of initial quality, have all started to show major signs of wear within 2 months. This torch might be a little more expensive than the others, but if you plan on using it much, it'll be cheaper in the long run as you won't be replacing it. 2 YEAR UPDATE: I have now owned this torch for two years, and I'm happy to report that it has worked flawlessly the entire time. A friend recently purchased a new one, and if you look at mine side by side with his, they look pretty much identical; really shows how well this torch has held up in the long term. I have read that by doing a couple things you can prolong the life of your torch, which I have always done. Whenever refilling, first allow it to run out completely, and then take a small screwdriver or similar tool and purge the last bit of the butane out- then refill it. Then wait at least 20-25 minutes to allow the gas to warm up inside the torch; it is very cold and there is the possibility of liquid butane being sent through the nozzle of your torch, which will damage it.

If you don’t know about these then you have been sleeping... this is by far the best torch you can get for what I’m sure most people who buy this torch use it for... very premium product which you can instantly feel when you hold it works like a charm every time because has a high quality igniter which is made in Japan also this thing can use just about any butane with out any issues what so ever, just be aware the cheaper the butane you use the quicker you’re bound to have problems because overtime the impurities form the cheap butane will buildup in your torch causing it to not function so well if at all which will require you to do maintenance on it that you don’t really want to be fussing with so just use the most premium butane you can use because those butane have been refined many times over so to remove all the impurities leaving just about pure clean butane that will keep your torch in tip top condition for much longer. This is a buy once cry once item you will not be disappointed with this purchase...in fact if you are like me and have known about these for literally years and just never picked one up until recently or now even then you’re most likely going to think to your self why didn’t I buy one of these sooner.. absolutely reliable high quality awesome torch
