Splash Hoop Elite

The kids…and the adults too, have an absolute blast with this poolside basketball hoop! It’s been such a fun addition to the pool — every time they are in the pool they play with it almost nonstop. The base fills with water, which makes it super sturdy and keeps it from tipping, even with some rough play. But when not filled with water it’s pretty light weight and easy to move around. Also it’s super easy to set up, and it’s keeps everyone entertained all summer long. That said, after a while I noticed the blue behind the plexiglass backboard starting to peel and the plexiglass started to pull away from the white plastic as well as rust forming on the rim. I reached out to the company, and after going back and forth a few times, they agreed to send me a replacement backboard and rim. I really appreciate that they are going to stand behind their product and make it right. They also mentioned that as of summer 2024, they’ve improved the rim so it better withstands pool chemicals, UV exposure, and should last much longer — which is great to hear. The price is a little on the higher side, but it’s a really good-looking hoop that fits perfectly beside the pool and adds a nice touch to the backyard. Overall, despite those issues I’m happy with the purchase and appreciate the company’s willingness to stand behind their product.

I receieved this product, and immediatly put it up for my son and his friends to play with. They are 5-7 year olds, who stayed entertained for hours playing with, until my husband noticed discoloration to the bottom right corner of the backboard approx 1 month after install, and realized it had come loose from the white frame, and this continued to get worse, until now it is no longer attached on the entire right side. For the amount of money you pay for this item as compared to other cheaper products, I would recommend going with a cheaper alternative, because in this case you dont get what you pay for, and instead you get a cheaply made expensive basketball goal that will only last you half of a summer season, so why not fet the cheaper alternative that will last you the same amount of time. To the manufacturer, please make this right, either a refund or a new backboard replacement.

I bought this hoop a few years back and it is a perfect addition to our pool experience. It has held up well, works perfectly, easy to move before and after pool season, and my kids love it. I have dealt with customer service twice for issues that were my fault, not theirs, and they responded promptly and professionally and quickly remedied my issue. I recommend this hoop without hesitation.

This poolside basketball hoop was well worth the price. Everyone has so much fun with it. The Grandkids love playing regular basketball so this was a “must have” for the pool. There’s never a time they're not using it when they’re in the water. Once the base is filled with water it’s very sturdy and doesn’t move while shooting hoops which is awesome. Set up is easy as well. One downside is that after just 2,seasons the rim rusted & started peeling. However, I contacted customer service and they are going to send me a replacement rim for free. Not many companies today stand by their product like that so I give Eli in Customer service & GoSports 10 stars!

I absolutely love this basketball hoop for so many reasons. I love the color, the 2 larger basketballs that come with it, the sturdy stand that has two places to keep your basketballs, and the larger rim. Unfortunately though, the backboard has broken away from the basketball stand which makes me super sad because I love this basketball hoop. Thus; the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. As I was looking for a replacement, I saw the sellers added the words, "2026 UPDATE: All backboard and rim issues are fixed" Which made me super happy and because I love this basketball hoop so much, I was ready to order another one. However, to my disappointment, it says this item is Currently Unavailable.

Out of the box, I was surprised to find a ratcheted box end wrench for assembly. This made the process a one person asssembly. Instructions were simple and easy to follow. The base is sibstantial and holds enough water to prevent the goal from moving. The backboard is large and so far, very sturdy. The rim is powder coated and shows no sign of delamamination or rust reported by some other buyers. The unit comes with two full sized balls, (which will need to be inflated) a hand pump with a flexible hose and two needles. It is very sturdy and has a generous height adjustment. While it is sturdy, I would not recommend allowing energetic guests to hang off the goal after dunking. Injuries could occur and you may have to fish the goal out of your pool. We have used this goal everyday for a month with no failures, so no customer service issues/calls to report. We would recommend this unit highly.

Updated review. Lowered to 2 stars. 1. During year one the height adjustment became nearly impossible. Frozen in place. 2. During year two the backboard laminate separated from the board. I used superglue and clear 3M tape to reapply. But it doesn't look the best but still functional. Also, one if the basketballs that came with the hoop has a slow leak. Had to replace. 3. At the opening of our 3rd season, noticed that the hoop is all rusted. Very disappointed as I spent more money than I wanted on this hoop but was hoping since (living in the Midwest US) we only use the hoop outside by the pool for 3 months per year. Other than that it is stored indoors. I have to purchase a new hoop and I will NOT buy from this mfg again. ----------------- Original Review. It was a little pricier than we wanted to spend but it certainly is a quality hoop. Assembly required two adults but was very straight-forward and the quality of tools they provided were very impressive. Definitely bring your water hose to the exact spot where you want the hoop as the hoop gets very heavy once the base is filled. We've only had in the elements for a week and so far it looks very nice. Hopefully that will continue throughout the season. The hoop came with two 9 in basketballs, net, airpump and needle so everything is supplied. Locating the base of the hoop 8 inches back from the pool edge (as instructed) is great as made shots literally bounce off the pool edge and rebound straight out! We're going to have many hours of fun with this hoop this Summer.

Purchased this product a couple of years ago, Maybe 3 or so. Writhing a year or 2 the rim has continuously rusted and the blue decals around the back board have deteriorated and fallen off/pealed. This was not an inexpensive item. Very disappointed with its durability and longevity.

Super fun, fill it with water. Works great

One month in and the backboard has started coming off. We’ve barely used it, the kids have taken maybe a dozen shots as it’s been rainy and not used much at all. Very disappointing for the price I paid, expected this to be very robust. The item went together well, but clearly not built to stand the test of time.

Quality is not great. Product is way overpriced.

Rim wasn’t straight and the white plastic was stained orangish brown. I can return it but I have to pay for the shipping.
