Mighty BrightXtraFlex2 Book Light, Silver

Useful little lights
I have several of these lights attached to a lap desk for my elderly mother. In spite of a very bright table lamp beside her, these desk lamps are the only things making it possible for her to see to read. My only complaint isn't really a complaint because it's becoming the norm in this age of miniaturization, but I do wish the designers had chosen to use AA batteries instead of AAAs. Two and a half times the mAh capacity would've made things a lot more convenient.

Great light
I really like this light. I bought it for use with my new Kindle because where I live tends to have a few power outages every year, and when the power goes out during dark hours reading is pretty much all there is to do! As much fun as I thought getting the bright purple or blue would be, I decided on the silver because I thought it would be less distracting in actual use. I thought it would blend into the surroundings more and I was right about that.I absolutely love that it has two lights so you can choose which best fits your needs at the moment, saving on battery drain when you can. In dim lighting conditions one bulb is plenty. In full dark then using two works best. The neck is long enough that it allows for extra flexibility in positioning to avoid glare on the Kindle screen and I'm not having any problems with it being too floppy to stay where I put it. I'd imagine that might change over time with use, but I'd also imagine that is true of all lights using that type of flexible neck. The clip is wide enough so that it doesn't cause too much pressure on a very small spot and it seems just right in the amount of tension is has, not too much and not too little. It works best by clipping on to my Kindle cover, but I can actually use it on just the Kindle plastic casing too.One of the best parts is that it uses normal AAA batteries for easy replacement. I hate products that use odd battery sizes so that you have to search for a store that sells that particular size.I did take off one star for the design of the power button. While it's a nice design with just pushing it, because it's slightly raised above the level of the bulb housing I can see why others report they have problems with it being accidentally turned on when being carried in a purse or briefcase. For me that's not an issue because I will either just be using it at home or on vacations. At home it just sits on a shelf and for trips I can remove the batteries before putting it in my luggage.

BEST BOOK LIGHT EVER!
I ordered this little book light over two years ago. It is STILL going strong; no issues! I love that the clamp works, and stays put; does not slide around or come off of your book. The neck has been twisted and twisted over the two years I have had it, but it still works like brand new! I don't have to replace the batteries very often, but you do need to check when the light grows dim, before your eyes let you know and it gets harder tor read. I like to stay up reading in bed after my husband has fallen asleep, and this light is so perfect for that purpose; bright enough to read but isn't so bright that it lights up a room. Nothing has fallen apart, and it's easy to use. I bought another blue reading light once of a different brand, when I had a house guest staying. That light didn't work, would not stay put, and fell apart after a few uses. Not this little light! It lives up to it's name: "Mighty"! It was, indeed, a "mighty" smart purchase!

Love these little lights
I bought 2 of these 7 years ago and a 3rd 5 years ago. Why did I just buy more? We use them for a lot more than reading. My wife has been hogging them, so I bought 2 more for myself. The brightness is just right for most tasks. The flexible neck seems to be fairly strong, none have broken. They work nicely with Eneloop rechargeable batteries.

Happy with product
Book light does the job well. I especially like that there are two light settings. Battery compartment is easy to get to, and the product comes with batteries. Haven't had the light long enough to comment on battery life. Would like if the company released a companion version with a slightly longer flexible neck. Current length is fine for books. I'm thinking of other uses (hand sewing, crocheting, etc. ).

Almost Perfect...
I love, love, love my Mighty Bright book light. Both my husband and I have been using one for many years. Previous to that, I was buying a new book light every few months, because the quality of most book lights is so poor. They would quickly dim, or moving the gooseneck around too much would cause them to fail, or they would just fall apart.None of this was true for the mighty bright... for 3 years, anyway. Now at the end of 3 years, the light has finally dimmed too much to read by. The 1-bulb setting no longer works at all and the 2-bulb was usable for a few months until a few days ago. The gooseneck was also getting a bit loose. However, all things considered, one slightly pricy book light in 3 years (a bit more since I bought the AC adapter, but hey, that still works!) is definitely better than several cheaper ones every 1 year.My only complaint is, in fact, that the new light is a bit *too* bright. I "bounce" the light off the wall or my pillow so my page doesn't glare at me. And yeah, you heard me, the new light. I like this like plenty enough to buy another one now that the old one has died.

BEWARE of lemons - 30 day return policy
I ordered two of these lights about 2 months ago - one for my husband and one for myself. I checked them both out when they arrived and they appeared to work. My husband's light has been great but I haven't had a need to use mine until this weekend. So I find out my light flickers continually (varying levels of brightness) , which makes it annoying and unusable. I checked out the return policy and it is 30 days only ...so I am stuck with it. Really unhappy there is no recourse after 30 days as I would have ordered a replacement. So the message is - test it thoroughly when you receive it !

spot on!
Clips easily and securely on to book or Kindle, infinitely adjustable angle & two levels of brightness. Gives you light just where you need it. Although first delivery took a couple of days longer than I had expected, the sellers were very patient & helpful after my first two lights were found to be faulty. Will not hesitate to recommend this product from this seller.

A great book light.
This LED book light is so easy to use and actually stays put when you clip it on the book. Two light options and very flexible. A must have for avid readers in dark light or bed!

Fantastic little book light!
Purchased this as a christmas present. It really is a fantastic reading light and I dont give praise easily but it is bright enough to light up both pages of a book so you dont need to keep moving the light and it has a good sturdy clip. It clips onto your book easily and you can adjust the light to whatever angle you need. Good you can have one or both leds on though one is more than enough to read with. Best thing is it takes triple A batteries which are easy to get hold of instead of those tiny button cell batteries that a lot of other book reading lights use. I would highly recommend this light and it was delivered very fast. Very pleased with it.

... on time and is already proving to be a great asset for many activities
The item was delivered well on time and is already proving to be a great asset for many activities. The bulb/s is bright and comfortable on the eyes, and the 2 brightness settings is a nice addition over the regular versions of this light which only had 1.The light is great for reading and equally useful for attaching to the inside of a PC case when carrying out maintenance work etc.All in all, a very useful product and would highly recommend for many activities (not just reading)
