Worth the extra money
The material is a little softer than it looks, something similar to synthetic pine, so be careful using a impact. I like the fact that they used SS square bit screws (02 SQ bit to be exact) that are of good quality. Once assembled it's fairly light but sturdy enough for a rod holder and much better looking than a wood stained traditional rod holder. My 40 and 50lb conventional rods fit just fine with their longer and larger handles.
