Review: Super happy with this, sturdy and pretty! - This was even better than expected. My horrible looking metal downspouts were in need of an upgrade, so before just replacing them, I thought I would try the look of a rain chain. After debating a long time over what 'style', I'm so happy I chose this. It has design without being over the top, which I didn't want, and it's very sturdy metal. Very easy to install and looks amazing. I felt like my house got an immediate upgrade in curb appeal. I can't speak to the use of it for rain quite yet as I have had rain, but not enough to really cascade down the chain in large amounts, but I have no doubt it will work wonderful. Review: I bought a used one - it's in great shape - Very pleased with my purchase - it looks great. The price was very good and it looks fabulous on my house and does the job of elegantly capturing the rain. ## Features - EFFICIENT RAINWATER MANAGEMENT: This 8.5-foot rain chain is crafted from powder-coated aluminum with a modern matte black finish, offering a stylish gutter chain downspout alternative. I need 10 ft.** A: Add a note when you purchase 2 rain chains. Thank you **Q: This comes with a reducer? What are the dimensions of that component?** A: Here are the size & Specifications: Size: 5.5"(L) x 4.25"(W) x 3"(H) Top Opening: 2.5 inches diameter Bottom Opening:2 inches diameter.Hope this helps **Q: Is this solid copper or is it copper plated** A: It is solid copper. I have had it up for a year and it has a nice patina on finish. We found if you hang it the other way ( wide part up) that there is less stray dripping from the splashing water. The are really nice, we have 2 of them. **Q: Will the aluminum gutter reducer fit a standard size gutter?** A: The adapter measures 4.25 inches wide and if you would like to adjust the size, however, it is possible to trim/cut the adapter as needed if it is too wide ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super happy with this, sturdy and pretty! *by G***S on 13 July 2026* This was even better than expected. The price was very good and it looks fabulous on my house and does the job of elegantly capturing the rain. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easier than unclogging a storm sewer *by B***G on 5 November 2020* When my house was built, both front and back eaves-troughs were piped to a storm sewer inlet pipe next to the house. The one from the back actually went into and through the house! I changed that with a new downspout at the back. Over time, the storm sewer pipe clogged up. Now the front eaves-trough lets rain come down the rain chain and water a big tree. It also looks nicer than the pipe. ## Frequently Bought Together - Monarch Rain Chains Aluminum Teardrop Rain Chain, 8.5 ft Black Powder Coated Aluminum Decorative Rain Catcher Chain for Gutters, Black Aluminum Rain Gutter Replacement Downspout - Monarch Rain Chains 20042 Aluminum Black Powder Coated Gutter Adapter Rain Chain Installation - Monarch Rain Chains 15005, Black/Stainless Steel Powder Coated Iron Rain Chain Anchoring Stake, Bla --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/336380559-monarch-aluminum-teardrop-rain-chain-8-1-2-feet-length](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/336380559-monarch-aluminum-teardrop-rain-chain-8-1-2-feet-length) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
