I was ready to give up and buy something else when I finally found this one. I love the shape, feels very nice when cupped in your hands. It retains heat well. The strainer basket on my previous one had no issues for the years I used it. I love the lid design because it can be set on its top to hold the strainer while you drink your tea and is easy to pick up because the handle on top elevates it so that your fingers fit underneath easily. The old one broke when it fell from the top of my locker at work and "bounced" on the tile floor.
