It doesn't even clamp down on a 12ga barrel, but it does clamp nicely on the foregrip nut of my Remington 1100, and remained there after 2 shots of express load #2 buck. It does fit on the scope of my .22, but the outer ring of light hits the front of the barrel causing glare. Just have to work with it and see what works best for you. Last, the light. It's bright. Great beam distance. It's an easy 100 yards to the trees in the video posted with this review. I did disassemble the lights down to the individual pieces. The reflector is machined out of what seems to be thick aluminum. The lense is actually glass. I was shocked. The housing is very well built. At $35, even if it was just the flashlight, it's an outstanding deal for a great product.
