I don't know for sure but I know it's made out of stainless steel and I don't see any plastic or anything poison in it I do know that my wife enjoys it very much and she enjoys using it

dishwasher safe? Description says to hand wash and also says dishwasher safe. Which is it?

I am very happy with my Thermos cup for hot beverages. I never put the mug in the dishwasher but take the cover apart to wash it by hand at least once a week. I think the cover could be put into the upper part of the dishwasher but I don’t think it is necessary.

If my cat pushes it off the table with lid locked, will it spill?

It will not spill, as long as you have the lid in the closed position.

Can you use a straw with it?

No it’s a slit not a hole. Keeps coffee hot 8-9 hrs. It’s outstanding
