Best carrier for my 7 lb. Chihuahua!!
I have a 7 lb. Chihuahua and we used this through an extensive trip and I loved it. I also have a small rolling one -- I can't remember the brand, but it was a highly rated and good quality and did get it on Amazon. At any rate, she fits cozily in the small Becko Carrier (I actually ordered the larger one based on Amazon reviews, but it was way too big for her, uncomfortable to wear and she didn't feel cozy in it. I took one of the fuzzy fleecy blankets she likes an cut it in half (throw size) and put it at the bottom. Since she is so small, this was a great way to travel with her. With the rolling one, I can only bring her and her things and it just barely (sort of doesn't, actually) fit under the seat of an airplane. This way, I had her on my back, had a small cross body purse and a small 13" rolling luggage. If there is an issue with those, I make sure I can fit my purse into the carry-on. This was a much better system for me and I was able to fit everything under the seat (I take my tiny wolf out and keep her on my lap, fold this backpack and put it under the seat with my 13" rolling carry-on and my small purse behind my calves. Comfortable and easy. Really nice bag (and I have several).

Great little dog bag
Everywhere I go, I'm always looking for the perfect dog bag. Once modified, this is the best small dog backpack I have ever found. Although it is strictly a dog bag, and holds nothing else. At 5 lbs, It's hard to find bags that my toy poodle won't fly around in.I cut a piece of cardboard to fit the bottom, and wrapped it in non-skid black cupboard liner, which makes it very supportive and easier for her to grip the bottom with her little feet as I move. I also made a tubular bolster, so she wouldn't slide around, and could rest more comfortably. What I love about this bag is that it is very light weigh and small. It sits high on my back. I can even wear it on the front if necessary, but it's not flattering at all like that, just convenient for quick access. I love the air vents on all sides, esecially the large top vent. The zipper has stayed very secure. It looks pretty sleek, and not necessarily like a dog bag, which is great for grocery shopping, dining, or incognito needs.I would like to see the side pockets improved and I would love an inside pocket. The side pockets have no elasticity, so nothing fits or stays in them securely. Would be great if they were more elastic and would hold a water bottle, and/or had s zipper. It would also be great if it had a thin pocket against your back for an iPad. But beggars can't be choosers.Bottom line: For the price, you can't go wrong.

Stylish but just a little small for 5lb dog
I bought this backpack mainly due to its stylish design and for a bit of storage on the go. I take my small dog everywhere, and he often goes with me on public transportation. This backpack really simplifies trips on the subway and long walks. It is, however, VERY small. My dog is only 4.6lbs and not particularly tall. This bag is at the lower size limit of what I'd consider keeping him in for any length of time. When I wear the backpack, he mostly sits up, with his head all the way at the top. He can barely curl up in a ball. When I put the bag on the ground, with the straps on the floor, it is only then the perfect size for him to stretch out a little bit. In my opinion, the cut off for this bag is closer to 5lbs than 15lbs. That said, I really like the design and the side storage comes in handy for collapsible bowls.**update: this review applies to the small size which used to be listed at 15lbs and is now a more reasonable 6lbs. Also, after owning this for several months and using regularly, it has held up well. No tears. Thumbs up on durability.

Perfect for small pets!
I ordered this bag because my cat and I were going to be moving and I needed a bag that was practical and fit airline standards. This bag definitely did the trick. It was so nice to be able to wear it as a backpack and keep my hands free, especially with the number of other things I had to be thinking about while running through the airport. The bag fits airline standards and I had no trouble slipping it under the seat in front of me during the flight. The mesh lid allowed me to keep an eye on my kitty while she slept under the seat, curled up in her little travel bag.I also loved that my cat was able to peak out of the mesh windows and watch the world go by, while also being afforded the privacy that the dark mesh gave. Because of the color and thickness, people did not automatically realize that there was a cat inside. It kept the pointing, ooh-ing and ahh-ing to a minimum. The bag is light and easy to wear, though very small--my cat is only 6 lbs, so she was comfortable curled up in this, but if your pet is any bigger, they'll most likely feel squished. It's also easy to rotate. The back and bottom are both flat, allowing you to sit it on its back while resting, which allows more room for your pet to lie down.In terms of shipping and packaging, this was delivered on time and in tact with no problem. The packaging was over the top, however--the box that it came in was GIANT and completely unnecessary for the size of the contents. Now, after the move, we use this for shorter trips, too. It has even made me bring her on trips I wouldn't have otherwise, just because it's so easy to. Now, she comes with me hiking, to the pet store, etc. I absolutely love this bag.

Material is the problem
Right size for my 7 pound Maltese. Decent craftsmanship, but low quality material. This carrier is full of some kind of powder-like element, I have to wash my hands to get rid of this unknown element after handling this bag. The material also comes with some kind of dull odor. I don't know whether the odor is the by-product of the low quality dying stuff, or because the material or the bag has been in touch with moisture for a long time that develops this dull odor.I don't mind to pay $5 - $10 more for this bag if the manufacturer were willing to use a better quality material. I will return it.

My 13.5 lb dog is calm inside!
Amazing! My 13.5 pound dog fits inside well. I haven't tried it on my motorcycle yet, but I'm really hoping I can lower it so it sits on the back seat and we can ride together!

It's fantastic - well constructed and well-balanced
It's fantastic - well constructed and well-balanced, carrying my dog in it couldn't be easier and he loves it too - means I can take him with me on my bike, and do longer walks than he could do on his four paws as he's only a pup. I really love it.

and I like that I was also able to wear this on ...
It arrived very quickly, and I like that I was also able to wear this on the front of my chest with the top open and my puppy sticking his head out.
