Hi Kathy: MAP is short for Master Amino Pattern which is a brand name for a particular essential amino acid blend. In creating FundAminos, we used the available research on MAP and our in-house research to formulate a blend that includes this particular ratio but other synergistic ingredients that both enhance effectiveness and convenience of use. FundAminos is not only less expensive gram per gram but we have found just as or more effective than the MAP tablets and the powder makes for multiple ways to use.
