Well Constructed, Holds a Lot, Real Time Saver
Very well made and I have used it for two seasons. Works around my whole yard of 25,000 sq. ft. (1 acre surrounded by forest on two sides and about 10 trees in the lawn). I have used this out in the street (asphalt) to clean up leaves from my trees without any tears to the bag (yet). The bag is made from a closely knit cloth material that is 'light to medium weight' relative to it's size. I have a 2 bag grass catcher on my Craftsman 42" lawn tractor and this bag will easily hold about 12 bags from my grass catcher (depends on leaves, moisture). I can usually go through my entire yard with about 4 dumps at the height of 'leaf drop' (early October) which takes about 1 hour. When I used to use the 2 bags on the grass catcher, this was a 3+ hours ordeal. It is REALLY heavy when full so I suggest you make sure you are near your dumping area to unload the leaves. I try to set my mower on the highest setting (6) so it will suck up leaves and minimize the grass cuttings. THIS BAG IS DESIGNED FOR BAGGING LEAVES NOT GRASS. Try to keep the lawn cut as short as you can before using this bagger OR set the mower height high so it won't cut the grass. NOTE: My only suggestion would be to make the drawstring attachment and plastic lock a little bit more robust as it can sometimes be difficult to open the leaf bag without the cord/plastic lock becoming undone.

Very helpful, mind the caveats
TerraKing Original Lawn Tractor Leaf Bag does what is is supposed to do. I found it to be very helpful, and there's no question that it shortened the time I would otherwise spend picking up leaves. For reference, I have a John Deere L111 and a half acre of lawn (another half acre is wooded). I have used this bag for one season. The caveats: - Because the bag drags, leaves tend not to find their way to the far back of the bag. I have to periodically stop mowing and manually shift leaves back to get more in, or I have to empty the bag before I want. - Even a partially filled bag is heavy. The weight bent my catcher toward the ground on the right side. A nearly filled bag is essentially overfilled and can be difficult to empty. - Avoid wet leaves because the weight increases significantly. - The draw string works well but leaves a gap on my mower where the catcher frame stops it from fitting tight. This is not a ding against the bag, but be aware that some leaves can blow out and back on to the lawn if you have a gap. - The sled idea others suggested is a big help. I struggled keeping the sleds I built from ripping apart as they were abused from dragging a heavy bag of leaves across the lawn (I think it was turning the mower that did them in). I eventually gave up on sleds and let the bag drag. I'm happy with this bag. I'm not so happy that it bent my grass catcher frame. I will continue using it because it made picking up leaves easier.

Maybe the best riding mower option...ever.
HUGE! Really works. Needs to be installed correctly on or under grass catcher hood to keep leaves from blowing out bag opening. I have a Husqvarna RZ46215 46" ZTR mower with the optional grass catcher - nearly identical to the catchers on a number of other mowers and the same as the one in the instructional videos at: http://lawntractorleafbag.com/tractors-with-grass-catchers/. The mowing deck seems to use high lift blades as it produces a lot of air flow into the chute and to the bag system without the aid of a dedicated blower. All this air needs to filter out the bag pores but will happily exit via the bag opening if it isnt well sealed to the grass catcher system. This may be less of an issue if your mower deck does not produce a lot of air flow to the grass catcher, however that may lead to frequent clogging issues. My mower has the typical ZTR "engine at the rear" so it is doubly important that the leaf catching system does not blow grass/leaves/dirt out the opening at the front of the bag, because the dust will clog the engine intake air filter and the leaves will accumulate on the cooling fan intake screen and that can cause the engine to overheat. I initially tried the "over the hood" attachment method from the first video but could not get the bag to seal up well enough so the engine and I were quickly covered in leaves. Next I tried the "under the hood" attachment as detailed in the second video. It was a huge improvement. It is important to observe and carefully follow each step in the instructional video for this to work well. At first I did everything except I cinched up the bag before closing the hood, leaving the bag opening at the rear of the hood under the rear of closed hood and over the middle dual grass catcher bag bar. Attaching it this way resulted in leaves blowing onto the top of the bag, which would then accumulate and fall off in clumps when turning, or blowing back onto the engine if running downwind in a breeze. Once I changed to putting the hood down before cinching the bag and then tightening it up with the bag going over the hood locking mechanism (as shown in video), very little in the way of leaves and debris escapes the bag.

Great Short term solution
The idea is excellent. However, the material is fairly cheap and honestly as much material is compacted into the bag. It really needs a heavy duty zipper run down the edge. and the material should be twice as thick. In addition, the strings are a joke highly recommend if you buy this that you just get a ratchet strap pull it through where the strings are and use those instead. Otherwise you’re gonna be beat in the back of the head with leaves, still a lot cheaper than buying a DR vacuum, but if I was to do it again, I would modify this heavily. do not expect to get more than one season out of this bag. You’re only kidding yourself if you do.

Clamps and tarps
This product is basically a bag that goes around the grass catcher. I read in previous reviews that you need a couple of clamps to secure the bag which came in useful since the string clamp broke before i even put it on the mower. Second and probably more important is to build a frame with a tarp to go under the bag. This will help with tears. I did not do this step and my bag had a couple of rips after the first use. Next time i will buy a cheaper bag and build the frame with the tarp. Someone had pics in a previous review.

The concept works well, the problem is that this product is soooo flimsy, like a pillow case!! Ripped within the first hour, and not the bottom side that drags behind the tractor. Since purchasing this product I have found other products that seem to be more rugged for a lot less money. Do yourself a favour and don't waste your money here!

ça fonctionne bien mais ça m'a pris 3 essaies afin de comprendre et d'être capable d'attacher le sac solidement au tracteurs pour récupérer les feuilles.
