The bowls actually are much much smaller, less than half and about a third of what's stated.

Way less than 12 oz (354ml). Plastic feel
The volume is much less than advertised. Probably half. Also, the material is like plastic, I even hear the clicking sound when bent. Don't think this is bio-degradable by any stretch of imagination. Avoid!
